In movies, the serial killer or masked killer is chasing down the victim, the victim kicks them but instead of doing damage, they run away and give the killer time to recover until they get caught and killed for good.

Has there been a movie plot twist with a killer attacking another victim but this victim, drops them, pops their shoulder or breaks their ankle and then drag the killer in to his basement and then we find out this particular victim is even a far more powerful serial killer himself.

Is there a movie that depicts a serial killer attacking a victim who turns out to be even a more powerful serial killer who knows unarmed combat?

This happened in about 100 episodes of Dexter.

Yeah but Dexter and even suspect zero they are going after the serial killers since both are in law enforcement as oppose to random would be victims who turn out to be even a bigger monster than the initial bad guy.

Its like in Hajime No Ippo from David's perspective of Bryan Hawk being his most dangerous and demonic opponent to ever face until one day that demonic opponent was toppled by someone unknown amongst Americans in a form of Takamura!

Of course Takamura is one of the main characters but was supposed to be a can in the eyes of the American to be fed to Bryan but then Takamura shook the world of boxing with defeating Bryan Hawk and creating complete chaos in the world of boxing.

I can't think of any movies offhand where this happens with serial killers. But there are several "would be victim turns the tables on the aggressor" (usually some kind of sex pervert) type of movies like Hard Candy or Promising Young Woman or The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo etc.

There just aren't a lot of serial killers that prey on men...and there also aren't a lot of serial killers that are women. So the venn diagram where a serial killer tries to kill another serial killer has pretty small overlap, even in fiction. Serial killers are usually cowards that prey on women and then on top of that the women also usually aren't weirdo serial killers.

I can think of a movie where a serial killer gets his ass kicked by a quadriplegic though. Damn what a beeyatch.

In the scream movie, those two dumbasses kept tripping and stumbling down as they kept chasing their victims. Lol what movie is that?

Promising young woman was weird because she got her ass kicked. Hard candy was disturbing but I dont remember the guy ever having the upper hand.

Not what you're talking about of course since this was clearly a bit more of a good guy vs. bad guy rather than heel vs. heel situation but didn't Myers bite off more than he could chew when he picked a fight with Busta?

Guy got worked.

Something like this happens in one of the scary movie movies too

This sounds so familiar and I'm sure I saw it happen like at least 1,000 times.

As of right now the first thing that comes to mind is the show You

In season 1, Beck is running away from Joe, after escaping his little trap room. She hits him hard on the head and knocks him down and tries to run away, only to discover the gate is locked. He grabs her and the scene ends (with her dying off camera). Now if she simply kept hitting him or possibly killing him she could've gotten away

It's kinda similar to pulp fiction.

Marsellus Wallace was a murderer that got caught by other murderers (who were also rapists).

It was implied that the two hillbillies had done this before, so presumably they murder their victims after raping them, otherwise the victims could return to the pawnshop with cops.

I keep seeing a commercial for a show where Zack Morris is a kidnapper that gets kidnapped by the girl he kidnapped and now she has him hostage, and she makes him help her solve kidnappings.

This trope comes from Halloween. Not sure why so many horror movies copied it. In real life you'd want to make sure they are dead, not run away.

Not the exact plot...but I Saw the Devil follows this type of story

You should go into Hollywood and show them you are a far more powerful director.

There was a korean movie like that. Can't remember the name

I think that just happened in the new scream

- Batman does this on his comics sometimes.

No one lives, Don't Breathe, The Drop, John Wick, Nobody.

Not all serial killer themed but all examples of 'wrong guy to mess with' or 'bigger bad'.
