I would put it this way. I think everyone should be seeing a therapist on some type of basis. Maybe a month every few years just to check in to see if more is needed. The expense associated with having dysfunctional relationships with other people, being depressed, or having some other undiagnosed issue is so large that therapy itself, even just checks ups are not that expensive. 60% of marriages ,for example, end in divorce and honestly little to know effort it made by most people to recognize what a good relationship even is. It is a little baffling to be honest that the government doesn't recognize the inherent cost to the economy of issues like divorce and other issues and provide free therapy and mental healthcare. Therapy and mental health checkups should be treated on the same level as a yearly physical.
