Elections I believe Hillary will run as VP in 2020

Hillary Clinton will run for President in 2020.

If anyone was gonna beat trump they needed to start gaining traction at the beginning of this year. If trump supports a republican in 2024 they'll probably win again at this point.

I think Hillary’s flirtation here is being rebooted by his Ukraine troubles and the idea that, this time around, she may have the opportunity to swoop in and finish off a wounded animal. She’ll wait to decide until she knows whether he’s toast then railroad all the other contenders.

Sure. In 2012, there was a very large field of Republican candidates, and the field was so large that they would all vie against one another to say the most "conservative" soundbytes to distinguish themselves from the pack (9-9-9, 0% tax rate, sick people should die if they don't have insurance), and raise their stock with the primary voters, who are far more conservative than the electorate as a whole- but these statements don't go away, and alienate moderates. The divisions generated by the establishment vs outsider wings of the party required a compromise candidate, whom neither wing was really excited about, and that caused low turnout. Further, with a sitting incumbent who has been relatively good for most sectors of business, the President had big fundraising and media advantages in that he could define his opponents early on and drive the media cycle.

The exact same thing is happening in reverse. The Dem field is competing with one another to say left wing things (medicare for all, reparations (yes, really), etc), but these statements will alienate the moderates they need to win. The two wings of the party (establishment dem vs progressives) will eventually have to settle on a compromise candidate, and that person will inevitably not be very exciting to either side. Trump has a huge fundraising advantage, has been good to most sectors of business, can drive the media cycle, and can define his opponents early.

Without a charismatic centrist, I believe they will lose in 2020, despite their structural advantages. The parallels are just too obvious.

Call me crazy, but from what I’ve seen so far, Clinton is the only candidate short of Barack Obama who has the brains, the battle-tested brawn and the national presence to take out Trump. And Obama can’t run.


Funniest part of all is that it was written by Willie Brown.

It's going to happen. She's been positioning for a while, but I didn't start to buy into it until recently as both Biden and Colonel Sanders are falling. No way hilldabeast will sit back and let Warren attempt to steal her wet dream.
I also think that her health is an issue and wants a much shorter campaign.
Trump still crushes her imo, but it's going to be a very very ugly next year.

Bernie and Warren will split the voters who are supporting Socialism. Hillary will announce her candidacy before the new year. It'll be Biden vs. Hillary for the DNC championship. @TheOldMan
