If you had a budget to make a AAA game, what would that be?

I would create some post-apocalyptic survival game in a RDR2 style with Planet of the Apes vibes. Vast deserts and town ruins in search for food, water, shelter. With main focus on stealth and very scarce self defence options like in I AM ALIVE game of Ubisoft. Guns with one ammo and so on.

A third person tactical Malazan game based on the Bridgeburners and the Bonehunters exploits/missions throughout the series.

The Star Wars open world RPG we've all been craving.

An action RPG in the universe of The One in which you travel across dimensions to kill that worlds copy of you. Once you have completed that you then take on the main world dimension. Something along those lines.

You’re also running from police who can travel to the same dimensions.

A Matrix AAA adaptation might be cool.

Super real porn VR game.

Every basement dwellers dream, id be rich!

I'd take the Breath of the Wild engine and put in a more traditional Zelda game with 10 dungeons and a great story.

Or an Elder Scrolls like game in The Lord of the Rings universe.

Multiple story arcs, not just chasing a family member. Too predictable, even though the journey is the goal in these. Global conquering and territory management done from a 1st or 3rd person action view, with multiple combat systems like Arkham and XCOM based on scale of combat. Time period isn't that important. IMO, the best environments are modernized pasts like with Bioshock or Dishonored. I'm a fan of biographies, so your character would start his journey as a kid and be old in the end.

modern Xenogears

i would seriously donate a % of my monthly income if a huge developer would pick it up

Modern take on games that aren’t really represented in today’s market.

I’d try to make something like either Dungeon Keeper or Crusader: No Remorse. Neither game really fits in any particular genre, and neither have any contemporaries today.

If I was feeling less ambitious then maybe a dark fantasy FPS like Heretic or Hexen

Either way, whatever I’d make would harken back to older times and try to be “unique” from what’s typical part and parcel from the industry these days.

There is something in Dugneon Keeper style on Steam, forgot what it was called, did you tried this?

Worst types of gamers: Elitists who only play "AAA" games, regardless of genre. I'd play a niche game of lesser quality with certain stronger aspects if it is to my liking over a "AAA" game that isn't.

Admit it. There are tons of these gamers out there nowadays.

I'd make a proper AAA tactical FPS akin to SWAT/Rainbow Six.

Either that, or a big-budget RTS on par with Warcraft 3/C&C Generals. Starcraft 2 is great, don't get me wrong, but I much prefer the aforementioned games.

Open world mp FPS with an actual story or something to do beside the basic variations of “capture the flag” they they all are.

Not sure how it would play, but I've always thought it would be cool to play as the demon from Fallen starring Denzel Washington.

Might not actually be feasible, but I think it'd make for a cool third person RPG. The premise allows for some neat dialogue systems. Maybe you talk to one character to intimidate but talk to a second in order to get info without giving up that you're possessing a given host.

It could also include some interesting stealth segments via possessing animals or various NPCs. Maybe possessing a person leaves them aware enough that jumping to a new body puts everyone on alert.

Lords of Shadow 2 let the player possess enemies but only in a very limited way.

SWAT really does need a remake. The PvP side of the game needs to be forgotten about with the main focus on AI and level designs for Co-op gameplay.

Open-world Samurai action game, Red Dead style. Spend a lot on the graphics, get a nice combat engine, good "revenge on the lord who killed my family" storyline.

Open world Samurai game set during the Edo period where you develop a young Samurai's skills by traveling the world challenging/joining dojos as well as having a plethora of other activities to grow as a warrior and raise your reputation. Your hard work would eventually pay off when you have high enough status to be invited to grand tournaments which also open up the possibly of employment with various lords and even being given land in your own name.

This is a game i've always thought about and i was very happy when Ghost Of Tsushima was announced which is in a similar vein. I would also be happy with a follow up to Bushido Blade or even another Kengo.

An open world Star Wars game is also very appealing which we will also be getting with Jedi: Fallen Order but i'm not sure what to expect from that.
