Ilia is a P4P top 10 after beating Volk, but Volk isn't the same as he was a year ago. After the loss to Islam he looked more hesitant and not as confident. That loss aged him hard

Topuria is just a far better athlete than Volk. There’s just far more speed, pop, and explosiveness… couple that with a very sound skillset and exceptional timing and you have a big problem for Volk.


Topuria predicted it all along, he said he would knock out Volk and make it look easy. He even detailed how he would open up his offense and chase Volk because he didn’t believe Volk presented a threat to finish him.

He got rocked by Max a few times in his prime as well. Past prime 1-3 Mendes coming off retirement also dropped him.


He was beating good fighters who were slow and mid tier athletes at best. Anyone can look fast and sharp against punch drunk guys like Korean Zombie and Holloway who blocks punches with his face.

I think it’s obvious that Topuria has an extra gear that not many people in FW have.

I think it’s obvious that Topuria has an extra gear that not many people in FW have.

He was never “rocked” by max and he knocked out juiced up Mendes. You think getting dropped means you lack athleticism? Max is known for his speed , Yair as well and Mendes still had all his speed, Aldo too.

Volk was just knocked out recently and is 35 yet you’re saying it’s because he’s only faced “slow” guys. Toporia is literally the only guy that has been faster than Volk at 35 years old
