Exactly. They should keep his ass in jail. They most likely will. If bail is paid, he will most likely be tracked 24/7 so as not to leave the United States. This has happened before to this Commissioner is why and I think I've told the story before. He dropped $2000 bail on a Juvenile (our jurisdiction a juvenile's bail doesn't usually bump much past $500) because every time he got out he'd miss his next appearance and end up on warrant status for 2 months.

Contrary to what you see in Law and Order my understanding is that there almost isn't a single state that has "No Bail" holds when the case is pre-trial.

So him getting bail isn't that surprising honestly. What DOES surprise me is it isn't higher.

Had a guy on Friday get 100,000 for shooting a dude after an argument and when you listen to the PC it ALMOST sounds like a self defense case. Dude had no history either.
