Arcane is a flash in the pan.
It wasn't licensed by a Hollywood corporation to shit out a braindead popcorn movie. It was made in-house by the creators of the game its based on, by those who owned & loved the characters.
Its obviously a means to generate additional interest in the MMO, but it was also a risk. If the show wasn't received well it could sink the game's popularity, which is one aspect Hollywood producers couldn't care less about.
So, don't count on many game-licensed Hollywood movies to be as good as Arcane.
Hell, even The Last Of Us HBO series was a disappointment, and it had the game's producer & writer as an Executive Producer, as well as Chernobyl's showrunner.
