Barao had his career ruined by that juicer TJ Dillashaw, never forget. He took some of the most brutal championship beatings in UFC history, it's hard to be the same after that.

Also it's important to note he was never even close to a top 5 P4P fighter at any point in his career, that was just media hype. List his top 5 wins, and you'll realize how silly that whole "#1 P4P" nonsense was.

Was he though? He fought a bunch of guys who weren't really that good on his road to the belt. They touted him up as some undefeated killer, which is true, but he came into the UFC on a 20+ win streak, but most of those wins were against absolute nobodies on the regional brazil circuit.

He just looked good, but its easier to look that good when you're fighting guys who aren't that good themselves.

His best wins are clearly Faber.

Sure. And the other win is Meagan Anderson where she got outstriked and won by panic wrestling.

But my point is she only has wins in MMA over lower level fighters. Ronda was an outlier.
 
Miguel Torres and Renan Barao are like parallels except Renan won UFC gold which isnt the " all be all " anyways-
 
Hendricks, chuck liddel, Miguel Torres, bj penn (hurts to say) it’ll happen to anyone if they’re too stubborn and keep going. Barao is really odd though. Dude went from arguably the best P4P fighter to losing to a huge underdog and basically never looking even ufc level since. At such a young age too
 
It's gotta be Ronda. This was one of if not the biggest stars in the sport. I haven't seen anybody rise that high and disintegrate like her
