The first clip, duffey is a right handed fighter (very right hand dominant), when you switch stance it can seem slow and laggy because you dont have the muscle memory of a leaping off hand hook. Also, from a southpaw, mir did a very common bread and butter southpaw slip-2, my favorite counter.
