Everything you said here was debatable. It was certainly debatable at the time of his extrajudicial killing. The kind of debatable that an actual judge should have taken a look at this case.Awlaki was a senior member of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. He was plotting attacks on the US. It was too risky to try and capture him alive.
Awlaki was a very bad man. But this bad man was unaware of any charges even levied against him.
The president named himself judge, jury, and executioner of an American citizen unaware of any charges brought against them.
