silva made some really questionable decisions in this fight

we saw shades of the old spider when he bullied jake in the beginning of the second round but at times it felt like he was content with letting jake tee off while he pulled some of his punches

good win and congrats to jake

Jake made Silva tire by working the body.

Not only did he beat Anderson, he dropped him. Is he the GOAT now? Or does he need to beat Weidman too?

I still remember when Dana was confident Askren would beat Jake Paul, and now, Paul has just beaten one of the top 3 UFC p4p fighters ever.

I can't wait for reporters to ask Dana all about the fight at the next Contender's Series presser

Anderson impressed me, he looked better than any 47yo has a right to. At his age he just doesn't have the reflexes to counter, which takes away his biggest weapon. Yet he nearly won the the fight by boxing Paul up on the inside, something that a younger Anderson never really did.

I guess anything involving Jake just gets merged to this thread so I will just ask here: What do you think is Jake's upper limit if he manages his career properly? He is 25, clearly improving quickly, 6 pro fights and looks great considering, all the money in the world to help him along, and he is a cruiserweight, typically considered a thinner division. Do you think he will become top 20 on Boxrec? Maybe win an alphabet title? Become the GOAT and KO Usyk?

Yeah but he's a striking specialist with years of training. He's had more years of boxing training than Jake and was able to beat a former world champion (Chavez Jr) last year.
Chavez is Beyond Washed up, and really a retired guy like Tavoris Cloud would pick him apart easy. There is a reason Jake isn't fighting anyone in his weight class with a pulse. Hats off to him for doing what he's done , but he will never be a credible boxer because he doesn't face credible boxers. So many actual boxers could do that to anderson and they are in Oylmpic trials.

God damn Jake Paul sucks as a boxer. He has no talent whatsoever.

People are forgetting that Anderson Silva is retired and has only one 1 mma fight since 2012. He's a shadow of his former self. People have reached a point where they are tired of watching Jake Paul fight washed up mma fighters. If he really is a good boxer then let's see him fighting top ten boxers.

he isn't. he would get absolutely embarassed against any legitimate boxer. his people know this, and they will continue milking it for however long they can. he doesn't really have any talent.
