Jon Jones brother’s contract is 51 million over 3 years

Agreed and I’m a fan of most sports outside of MMA. They get paid that money because it’s essentially a 50/50 split or worst case scenario 60/40….. imagine that

Right... they have an amazing contract. NFL keeps expanding... keeps getting more lucrative partnership and the players crush it.

Football teams are also worth billions, the NFL is worth 132billion.

Nfl players work and travel a majority of the year.

Ufc fighters work about 3-4months out of the year.

well to be fair, chandler plays 18 games a season, Jones fights once a year. Football imo is scarier than prize fighting. At least in a fight you have control over your destiny, in football you can get hit from blind side and theres no ref to stop it from happening.

Like pro-wrestling, you’re virtually guaranteed to have a broken body in your fifties, and dead in your sixties, and if still alive, crippled or an invalid in your 70’s.

Thats a LOT of money for a guy that i have absolutely no idea who he is, im not hating on him or anything, but that sounds like a "best paid athlete" type of deal, where even when you dont follow their sport, you know who they are.
You should probably know who Otani is. Absolutely phenomenal, once in a century type of player

Ohtani is a generational talent and deserves to get stupid money. Take what you pay a top hitting outfielder and a top pitcher and add the contacts together and that's what he deserves because that is what he is.
Yeah shohei is a very special talent

Chandler has never tested positive for anything.

A shirtless Chandler Jones got down on his knees behind the Foxborough police station Sunday morning and appeared to be “actively praying or worshipping’’ as officers approached him, according to newly released police documents.

The documents shed some light on what happened with the Patriots defensive end after a Foxborough police officer deleted portions of the official police log about the encounter, which may have violated public records law. Police have called the incident a “medical emergency.’’

In a memo to Chief Edward T. O’Leary, Officer David J. Foscaldo reported that a large black man wearing sweatpants and no shirt ambled into the parking lot at 7:40 a.m.

“In a very hurried and haphazard-like fashion, I saw this man randomly scurry through a portion of the parking lot where our police cars are parked,’’ Foscaldo wrote. “This man suddenly made a ‘b-line’ for our police station’s rear door.’’

Suddenly, Foscaldo wrote, the man got down on his knees, laced his hands behind his head and held the position.

“It was like this man was trying to surrender (he was literally ‘as stiff as a board’/he was both upright and rigid),’’ the officer wrote.

Then Jones slowly got onto the ground, and it appeared as if he was “actively praying or worshipping,’’ Foscaldo said. Jones repeated this movement at least twice.

Foscaldo and another officer ran toward Jones, who by this time was lying on the ground, his arms spread by his side. He watched the officers approach him.

Parts of the report are redacted, including what happened after Foscaldo and another officer grabbed Jones’ arms. Several lines are blacked out after Jones told the officers who he was and that he had “been told’’ to come to the police station.

To be fair if Chandler gets 25 sacks which is about where he should be in 3 years he'd be top ten all time. Its not like he's just been an average player. He has been a very good DE for a long time. At his age though that does seem like a terrible contract for the team.

To your point though, yes UFC fighters are underpaid.
He did make the 2010s all decade team
And made the pro bowl I think last year.

They are equally good at drinking special jiuce though
Haha.
Yeah cause pro athletes making 10 of millions are only on creatine.

Dudes in the UFC were on gear for $500 a fight

Seriously what do kids think goes on in pro sports ???

Goddamn.

And Chandler isn’t a football goat either.

He just makes way more money than Jon does while making a much bigger splash in his sport.

Chandler ain't comparable to Jon in terms of status within his sport but if you look at his numbers he's going to Canton. Hes not just a random NFL player who happens to be Jons brother(like Arthur) he's a legit all time great.

He has 112 sacks. He's 32 years old.

Baseball is the most difficult, but it’s also the cushiest if you can make it. Little physical exertion or wear and tear compared to other sports. Unless you’re Ohtani or play for the Yankees or Red Sox or maybe 1/2 other teams, you can still live a normal life(nobody knows what Mike Trout looks like, for example). You get paid exorbitant amounts of money.

It’s not even really a sport, too, more of an activity like golf. Would be great if your kids could ever make it to the big leagues(which will never happen, realistically).
Not for pitchers. You got that reversed, very physically demanding you pitchers until your elbow quits working and your arm is useless until you have surgery to buy a few more years until it becomes useless again. Useless i.e. can't straighten it out or do normal things on a daily basis with your dominant arm.

Don't they spread the wealth way better in Football. Like the players get 49% revenue am I right? Than other variables that make these guys super rich.
