Larry Kudlow to replace Cohn as National Economic Council Director

This guy is friggin nuts - War is good for the Stock Markets -

To be sure, the greatest mistake Papa Bush ever made was leaving Saddam Hussein in place. Weakened or not, he is still there — and Americans have never liked loose ends. With weapons of mass destruction at his disposal, and through his financing of terrorism worldwide, Saddam is a dangerous loose end.

Decisive shock therapy to revive the American spirit would surely come with a U.S. invasion of Iraq. Why not begin with a large-scale special-forces commando raid on the Iraqi oil fields? This will send a shot across Saddam’s bow; an electrifying signal to all terrorist nations. The message will be that the game is up. Surrender now or you will be crushed in a short while.
...
In his key war speeches thus far — the axis-of-evil designation before Congress, the first-strike-preemption speech at West Point, and this week’s Palestine-directed statement of institution-building through the principles of freedom — Bush has kept democracy and a market economy central to solving this world terrorism crisis. But statements of principle only go so far. The spirit and security of the United States now require the instrument of war.

The shock therapy of decisive war will elevate the stock market by a couple-thousand points. We will know that our businesses will stay open, that our families will be safe, and that our future will be unlimited. The world will be righted in this life-and-death struggle to preserve our values and our civilization. But to do all this, we must act.

Tillerson is out because he supported the Iran Nuke Deal and would claim Iran meeting it's requirements and Trump didn't like that. Trump wants Pompeo in at State because he'll find Iran in material violation and thus Trump can get his war - either in NK or Iran or both. Kudlow will all the while be whispering in his ear, and on television, about how good war will be for your stock portfolio.

In 1987 Kudlow was rehired by Bear Stearns as its chief economist and senior managing director. He was fired in 1994 after abuse of cocaine caused him to skip an important client presentation. Kudlow later admitted to a $10,000 a month cocaine habit.[18] Kudlow also served as an economic counsel to A. B. Laffer & Associates, the San Diego, California, company owned by Arthur Laffer, a major supply-sideeconomist and creator of the Laffer curve, an economic theory that relates the relationship between tax levels and government revenue.

I was hoping the stock market would do better today, with the announcement of Larry Kudlow joining the President's administration! Kudlow reportedly is not a big supporter of trade tariffs. Fears of tariffs is reportedly one of the items that has the market spooked at the moment.

We're somewhat into uncharted waters with looking to improve and change our trade system with China and other countries. Hope Larry Kudlow is able to offer sound advice on how to improve the current trade arrangement and at the same time keep Wall Street somewhat happy.

I know nothing of him besides what you're posting here but it's so ridiculous he's obviously being a yes-man

$10,000 a month?

I like him more now. That's impressive.

trump is hiring guys he sees on tv. just laughable.

Be glad AJ wasn't picked for Secretary of State.
It's hard to be glad about anything related to the Trump Presidency. Incompetent and ineffective might be better than a swamp creature with free reign and Trump's ear.

To be fair America hired a President from tv.

America deserves whatever they get with Don The Con.
