Laura Ingraham boycott incoming

I haven't lived in the states for like 8 years now, so i don't really have a horse in this race. I think Americans and their love of guns is fucking bizarre, but America is going to America.

Gun laws vary from state to state. I don't ever hear much about big national gun laws being passed.
A lot of people's answer to people's attempts at trying to regulate guns is "its too late/there's nothing to be done/more guns"
That is not a plan.
Some things won't be as effective as others, and there is no magic bullet (pun not intended) to tackle the issue, but there is some baseline shit that all people should agree on.
Just because it won't stop 100% of potential shootings doesn't mean we should do nothing

I can at least appreciate your point of view.

Yes the the AWB in the 90s did nothing to slow school shooting.

Reports came to the clear conclusion that, despite one researcher who brought dubious information claiming mass shootings increased,

"If we look from September 2004 all the way back to 1900 (104 years), as the Washington Post lays out, there were 118 mass shootings. That breaks down to 1.13 mass shooting incidents per year, on average, from 1900 to 2004. In the eight years since the assault weapons ban has expired, there have been 28 mass shooting events. That equals an average of 3.5 a year — an increase of over 200 percent."

Yet, intelligent people don't mistake correlation for causation. But fuck details, nobody needs that shit.

Well sure and if break out the mass shootings from 100AD to today the avg is around .003 a year.

There were 76.2m people in the US in 1900; do you want to guess the increase in population from 1900 to 2004? A 380% increase; is there a point in your post other than you're trying to use statistics wrong?

There were 63 school shootings from 90-99, there were 59 during the 10 year assault weapons ban from 94-04.

On another note, people in here were talking about "she apologized, so the kid should get over it"
lol This bitch did not apologize.

She gave one of those "I'm sorry if you were offended by my words" apologies. That is not an apology. That is "I'm sorry you're a sensitive girl that got offended"
Those kinds of apologies are even more cunty than just sticking to your original statement.

She isn't sorry, and that's fine. She said what she wanted to say, and her sponsors showed their disapproval of it with their wallets.
There's nothing unfair about it. Why would anyone want to financially support a cunt?

So after the March for Our Lives event Ingraham went on to make fun of David Hogg because of his college rejections.

I guess people don't like it when TV hosts take cheap shots at kids especially when they just survived a tragedy like deadly school shooting.

Hogg went on Twitter and called on her sponsors to pull their ads from her program and some are starting to do it.

Will her fans react by throwing their coffee machines out the window like Hannity's fans?

I guess we'll find out

Some other fun facts about Ingraham....

In college she was the editor of a school newspaper and sent a reporter to a gay support group and they published the names of all the gay kids who attended the meeting.

She used to go out with Dinesh D'Souza. When he dumped her she responded by putting a garden hose through his mail slot and turning it flooding his house lol.
what a crazy bitch

Hogg destroyed her at Fox New's own game of trial-by-proxy of fomented-agendas and ad hominem.

He was like, "Bitch, I'm not playing that. Who pays you?" Then he followed it up with a Tweet telling everyone the phone numbers of the companies that do.

I believe his attitude toward the 2nd Amendment to be myopic (and seemingly ignorant of European current events), but any player has to have respect for that level of game. Pure offense. He cut her throat with two tweets.

Ask the millions of married men the world over.

Will Fox News keep her?

This is exactly how they've gotten rid of the last three (or four?) bigtime anchors, so I would estimate no.

She lost too many sponsors. Sudden vacation that "was already planned". Vacation will become permanent. Same playbook every time.

I was thinking the same thing.

It doesn't matter who hosts any of those shows.

As long as they hit the same notes, the built in audience will love it.

Tucker Carlson is doing the same kind of numbers that O'Reilly and Kelly used to.

Looks like "both sides do it."

Apparently Kyle Kashuv, the pro-gun Parkland kid, got Kurt "tentacle porn" Eichenwald fired from his MSNBC contributor gig after calling for a similar boycott last month.

https://www.mediaite.com/online/kur...-after-kyle-kashuv-calls-for-network-boycott/

Your link states that Eichenwald had stopped working for MSNBC before his Twitter argument with kyle kashuv, and quotes an Eichenwald tweet in which he claims his contract as a contributor had already expired a month prior.
