Like that former Mexican president said, you can build a 20 foot wall, they're just going to come over it with a 20 foot ladder.

Or as a lot do, just come under the wall through tunnels. You can build a 100 foot wall, it doesn't matter if they're just going under it. Or they'll continue to be smuggled across the border. Or they'll just come legally and overstay their VISAs.

What Trump needs to do is acknowledge that illegal immigrants are going to get into America, and focus his resources and remove them when they do with stricter rules.

Take that money you were going to use on a wall and offer cash rewards for tips leading to the deportation of illegals. Money is the greatest motivator behind sex, so if someone knows they can make money from anonymously reporting illegals, ICE is going to be VERY busy.

Continue to go after businesses who employ illegals with heavy fines and sanctions.

Make it so that if you're caught illegally living in America, you're deported and you are forever disqualified from ever legally immigrating or visiting America.

And of course, DACA MUST be abolished.

    Walls don't stop planes either.

I don't think he ever planned on actually building a real wall, but it was such a good catchphrase and it caught the imagination. It obviously worked really well.

Medicaid, disability, Israel, ACA, unnecessary wars, and all kinds of other bullshit are unnecessary wastes of money. The wall serves a purpose.

With Socialism tanking in Central and South America, building it should be a priority.

A Wall will be accompanied by other security measures, such as: guard towers every so often, CCTV, sensors, routine patrol by Border Patrol.

People put walls up to keep the poors away pretty regularly. Not sure why a rich country shouldn't do it.

he wants to build it in order to increase his chances of getting re-elected because thats what his supporters want the most. if he doesn't deliver on that promise that could hurt his chances

If trump wanted to build a wall why not model it on the great Wall of China? put military bases all along it and have the military man the border.

You probably have to touch it to make sure. Some guys are growers and not show-ers. Plus, he might have just got out of a swimming pool and shrinkage and all this.

Illegal aliens cost us 99 billion annually. Please tell me how 19 billion for a wall isn't chump change????
Also, it will be a shot in the arm for the economy <-- who do you think is going to build it?

Nobody who wants to build the wall is familiar enough with the terrain to express an informed opinion on the topic.

We simply aren't going to cede the entire Rio Grande to Mexico, nor will there ever be anything more than a chain link fence in the more rugged terrain.

The only people who are in support of the wall and can be realistic enough to be worthy of conversations are those who have shifted their focus to a metaphorical wall, one that is not a physical barrier but increased enforcement of the laws on the books along with increased resources for enforcement. Find yourself a wall supporter who talks in these terms and you've got yourself someone smart enough to have a conversation with.

There is a much cheaper alternative to the wall that nobody would dare cross. It's called a minefield.

Tunnels and planes filled with drugs. A wall.

One of those is a problem, and one is a solution to that problem. I'll let Trump fans take their time figuring out which is which, but here's a hint: It's the exact opposite of what you think.

This wall will do fuck all, and any measures to strengthen the border that includes talk of a wall are from people who think reality is a cartoon.

a wall is a deterrence, not the final solution to stop all drug and human smuggling.

it's like a having walls surrounding your home. it's not going to stop a determined burglar, but it's a deterrence.
