The attacker's defense stated he was motivated by online conspiracy theories, like QAnon.

But they said the specific federal charges don’t fit because DePape targeted Nancy Pelosi for her "political activities" and not because he deliberately wanted to interfere with her official duties in Congress. Which doesn't really make much sense, which is probably why it didn't work.

I support justice for the victims no matter what their political party is.

Attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon should get him life especially when he broke into someone's home.

Ideally there would have been castle doctrine and he would have been put down before he has a chance to hurt anyone.
