Masvidal did everything that was asked of him and surpassed everyones expectations.
That gives him the edge for FOTY. IMHO

Simple accomplishments tell the story for Masvidal. Most Sherbros conveniently forget that Masvidal had no business putting Till or Askren to sleep for the first time their careers nor did he have any shot of being only the 4th person to finish a Diaz brother.

3 finishes vs 3 top 15 fighters (arguably top 10 fighters). Solid resume, only champions could come close and Izzy, Cejudo, Volk and Usman cant even match that

How Adesanya was in the discussion and then won it, tells those with common sense, that this is more a less a popularity contest. As Adesanya's last three fights do not come close to Masvidal's last three and way the fights were decided.. and neither of those two come close to Cejudo's last three fights, and importance to the sport within them.

It is about 2019 though and last I check Cejudo didn't win any Olympic gold this year. Plus we talking about the UFC and what Masivdal was able to do while moving up is just more badass than what Cejudo did. All things equal, go with the higher up division. You just can't ignore the manlet factor.

How so? Is Masvidal not under 6ft and 200lbs? If he is, then he would be considered a "manlet" too then. TJ was being called a GOAT by many, Cejudo destroyed him out the gate. That alone, is bigger then anything Adesanya had done and slightly bigger then Masvidal stopping Ben and Nate.
