More Russian Problems for Democrats

Russian entrapment of Republicans and Democrats is exactly what they want the US to get paranoid about and start alienating political parties under blanket statements like this thread's deliberately general title

Russia wants the US to bicker over entrapments while it operates unsupervised in many, many ways

You're playing right into it

So when I say both parties are filled with foreign agents, am I still a tinfoil wearing CT-er?

Nobody is going down on a FARA charge, for fuck's sake.

Your article repeatedly states the group did not file because they were not told there was Russian government backing. If you found evidence they knew, wallpaper your bedroom and string thumbtacks ITT but as far as the reports have been, this is a pretty clear case of a Russian Intelligence misdirect to entrap US relations under false pretenses of supporting Ukrainian EU integration
shoo fly

How?

By trying to keep illegal foreign agents from freely operating in our government, do we somehow play right into russia's hands?

Nah

You want to stoke a US political Civil War over deliberate, targeted Russian espionage with those exact destinations in mind and you don't care about the specifics as much as you want to blame an entire political party for it

gotta catch some zzzz's; night boys and inga

Your the one throwing shade for the actual US citizens, the US government actually has jurisdiction over, by trying to make this about Russia, and not Podesta, and his criminal organization that masquerades as a lobbying group.

If you are a lobbying group

And you back the Ukraine

You are not a Russian puppet

Because the Ukraine even existing in its current state is a shining middle finger to the USSR and Russian political management of the Ukraine since forever.

If you back a Ukrainian political party and its leader throws back its hood to reveal itself to be a sack of cats that flee to Russia, you still tried to back the Ukraine

If however you back a Ukrainian political party because you secretly knew it was a sack of Russian Cats all along and you really wanted to see Russian Cats try to run the country then you are definitely up to no good

I do not see the case here for intentional investment in a Russian puppet party that folded the second it was found out. You need to provide evidence of that claim, because that is not what evidence showed. Evidence absolutely showed a calculated and concise effort to hide all connections to the Russian gov.

Its kind of what political spies do

Lol!

The whole left and media fell for it then

Are you aware this story is about Podesta's lobbying firm working for the Russian government?

Wtf are you even saying?

Why you no understand words

Because your words make no sense.

You start off by talking about how if you support the ukraine, you can't be pro-Russian.

Wtf does that have to do with this story?

Who in this story is pro-Ukraine?

I think this is the issue that was brought up in the TS:

"The ECMU was reportedly backed by the Party of Regions, the pro-Russian and oligarch-funded Ukrainian political party for which Manafort worked as a consultant, and which paid his firm millions. Viktor Yanukovych of the Party of Regions, a Manafort client, was president of Ukraine during the ECMU campaign, which ran from 2012 to 2014. He fled the country in 2014.

Sure, it was a political movement within Ukraine, but it was a Russia-leaning political movement (lobbying entity) within the Ukraine that was paying Manafort and Podesta.

Are you drunk?

What sort of horrible unfunny drinking game involves teaching you the clear-cut difference between Ukrainian/Russian relations

Why are you feeling so wrong

Your head's in the game but your heart's in the song

It did not disclose that government connection publicly, and it is not supported that Manafort shared these ties with anyone, let alone his investors. His own involvement with Russia is only now being made evident via major federal investigation, and you're surprised to think lobbyists would have believed the pretense of EU integration instead of, I don't know, investing in an openly declared Russian mole?

The group didn't even make it to the 2014 election before exploding instantly in unpopularity upon reveal of its ties, it would not have been early supported on those political terms, that is not a survivable outcome for an entire US lobbying group. But for an inside man and his white collar buddies in crime? Absolutely.
