Pettis just beat Wonderboy. Conor was fighting for the LW title as the current FW title. Those were big wins at the time. He also fought Masvidal during his peak hype and momentum after Masvidal's big wins. He fought Edwards when he didn't have to. Bad style match up for him but he fought it anyway. He wasn't the favorite in any of those fights. So you can have your opinions of him and not like him as a fighter, but he is a top level fighter because he is fighting top level fighters.
