Terrifying KO artist who smashes his way up the ranks then takes a thorough beating in JDSs case twice from the champ and then becomes a lot more gunshy and timid?

Sometimes a flash KO seems to have less mental effect on fighters because they can chalk it up to lucky punch/mistake or the nature of the sport. Whereas, being completely dominated and outclasses can put some serious doubts on your own abilities

Nah. JDS still had moderate success after his losses, and never looked as terrible as Ngannou past the first round.

Ngannou was merely exposed, and knows the limitations of his cardio. He's gun shy, because he knows if he throws the bombs and doesn't get the KO, he'll gas quickly.

Francis needs a sports psychologist and then he will be back (Lando too). MMA fans always freak out, act like it is the end of the world when a fighter has one bad night and lose perspective. The guy just learned MMA, just fought for the title, is one of the youngest heavyweights, has never been finished and had his first fight after his loss. I'm not quite ready to call him Paulo Fihlo 2.0 yet, he just needs to accept the fact that he will losemifbhe does not finish the fight in round one, but he still needs to go all out. Explosive fighters suck when they try to conserve energy.

This is insulting. JDS was HW champ, defended it, then fought for it another 2 times.

Francis has 1 impressive win and that is over Blaydes. He beat Arlovski and Overeem whom both have been KO'd several times and are way past it. Dominated by Stipe and threw 4 punches against Lewis. He will probably be KO'd in his next fight.
