Ngannou would have iced Jones

He would have iced Jones (a great grappler who would be going for takedowns like his life depended on it) because he did well in a boxing match?

After seeing Jones against Gane, its a hard fight to call imo. I also think the Pav/Aspinall winner could have been an interesting challenge for Ngannou too. It fucking sucks that we have been robbed of those fights.

Francis would have likely lost to Gane if he had kept it standing. That's why he resorted to wrestling. So stands to reason looking like a boxer against Fury means he'd have beaten Jones. WTF?
 
Maybe not, but the fact that he could call it into question or probably be at least competitive with Jones and also give Fury everything he can handle makes him the baddest man on the planet IMO. Jon is the best fighter to ever live. Francis is insane in his own unique way.
 
Definitely recency bias. Francis made a great choice going after fury. Especially with his 8 mill deal with the UFC being contingent that he beat Jones. This result shouldn't have much bearing on how that fight would of gone, especially with the long boxing camp that ensued
 
There isn't any shame in being quote unquote scared of a guy like this. Look at what he's done to other fighters it's not about being scared to fight somebody it's about being realistic. Only guy I legit feel like said he wasn't scared of Frank and really wasn't with Stipe.

Jones was already back before Francis left

They offered Francis 8 mil to fight Jones on the March card. Where Jones was already scheduled and he turned It down.

They only went with plan b after Francis left.

Had he stayed, that's the fight that would've been made.

Ngannou isn't Gane, you're not just dragging this dude down. It would have been standing. Jon would have been slept. If not, he'd be in survival mode after the first round
 
You didn’t need to start a thread about this. Facts we all know: when Francis was under ufc contract Jon Jones hid the entire time and wanted no piece of him.
