I dont care enough about wmma to argue about it, but regardless of who the rightful winner of that is they are still much worthier of holding the belt than someone who beat a TUF reject.

She's worse than GDR. Both made UFC 0 dollars and desperately ducked no.1 contender, but at least GDR was stripped soon after and caused no real financial damage, except make the UFC look stupid. Montano wasted precious marketing resources on a PPV by pulling out last minute.

I know what you're implying TS but Conor McGregor is actually one of, if not the best champion the UFC ever had. He might not have fought in the UFC for 2 years but the amount of money he made them (including the 180 million from the Floyd fight), spread over the 2 years, would still make him the most profitable champion the UFC ever had. If you had an employee who's making you more money than God while on vacation, do you actually give 2 shits that he's not showing up for work? Hell to the fuck no.

Both of them were shoehorned into nonsensical, paper-thin divisions that shouldn't really exist in the first place because they further dilute the already limited talent pool in the established wmma weightclasses
