What's on your ballot this year?

Claire McCaskill for Senate. I'm voting straight (D) in MO and abstaining from the races that have only an (R) running. I've never done that before, but I think that's where we're at.

♦ 3 different Medical Marijuana measures, with varying levels of taxes (as high as 15%). I'll vote yes to all of them though I don't really like any of them.

♦ A 2-cent per gallon gas tax to go mostly to cops, and also some to road maintenance. Shamelessly stapled to removing taxes on Special Olympics prizes. You've got to be fucking kidding me.

♦ 5-year minimum wage bump to $12.00. Easy yes.

♦ A huge amendment on campaign finance and districting, and more:
change process and criteria for redrawing state legislative districts during reapportionment;
change limits on campaign contributions that candidates for state legislature can accept from individuals or entities;
establish a limit on gifts that state legislators, and their employees, can accept from paid lobbyists;
prohibit state legislators, and their employees, from serving as paid lobbyists for a period of time;
prohibit political fundraising by candidates for or members of the state legislature on State property;
require legislative records and proceedings to be open to the public

Not sure on this one. Leaning no because I don't like the scope of it, but may go yes on it.

♦ Local indoor smoking ban except bars, casinos, and clubs. Yes, welcome to the 21st century.

What you got?

I’ll be voting straight whoever’s-not-a-democrat

I just know I'm voting for the Mexican guy to take down Pelosi

A flooding bond that will likely turn out to be a colossal waste of cash. The goober mayor claims is will stop flooding

A proposition that would give firefighters a 25% raise

Cruz smoking beto, I will say the sheer number of beto signs are unnerving

Culbertson is running against a candidate hand picked by pelosi

Nothing of substance
Massie up again
Marcy law

Not voting for any Dem or Republican, except for State Supreme Court. Will vote Dem for the two court races on the ballot which are contested.

Statewide Amendment 1: Will vote NO
• Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, providing for certain religious rights and liberties; authorizing the display of the Ten Commandments on state property and property owned or administrated by a public school or public body; and prohibiting the expenditure of public funds in defense of the constitutionality of this amendment

Statewide Amendment 2: Will vote NO
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended; to declare and otherwise affirm that it is the public policy of this state to recognize and support the sanctity of unborn life and the rights of unborn children, most importantly the right to life in all manners and measures appropriate and lawful; and to provide that the constitution of this state does not protect the right to abortion or require the funding of abortion

Statewide Amendment 4: Will vote NO
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to provide that, if a vacancy in either the House of Representatives or the Senate occurs on or after October 1 of the third year of a quadrennium, the seat would remain vacant until a successor is elected at the next succeeding general election

Friggen awesome that you guys get to vote on measures

In 2016 I voted:

President: Constitution Party
Senate: left it blank (neither D/R candidate seemed interesting)
House: Democratic Party (radical left-wing Bernie guy, thought he would have interesting ideas)

In 2018 I will vote:

Senate: unsure, need to do research
House: Republican (small government guy with a lot of interesting proposals)

How do you see that race? The "experts" are calling it a toss-up but I see it as leaning Culberson's way.
I don’t know, COH voters are a dumb as any other major city

Chris Murphy- US Senate
Rosa DeLauro- US House
Both are slam dunks for re-election.

The important race is governor. Republicans have nominated a true psycho who hired the asshole who wrote Sam Brownback’s self-destructing Kansas tax plan to write his economic platform. Normally such a shit for brains wouldn’t get more than 30% of the vote in CT, but the outgoing Democratic Governor is (somewhat unfairly) unpopular, and there is a third party candidate on the ballot, too.

What you got?

So the smoking ban is for what exactly? Restaurants? Shopping malls?
I'm just curious. Where I live you can only smoke in the Casino or smokers clubs. Bars and restaurants all have had a ban for some time now.

There are still smoking sections in some restaurants here. Last one I saw was Waffle House.

There was a full indoor smoking ban competing with this one (exemptions for casino/bars/clubs) but a judge threw it out on a technicality because it would have really hurt businesses.

Anyone from Kentucky?

Love this guy

I'm registering and voting for the first time in my life against Florida's Soros funded "progressive" future card carrying party member running for governor.

Fingers crossed these retards stay far away from any power.
