Crime NYPD Officer Murdered By Man With 21 Prior Arrests

I guess unless you were sheltered, which you all probably were since most of you were just children if you were even born.

Either way, you guys are the “facts don’t care about your feelings” crowd, right?

I gave you the facts. Crime is down. And you guys are just saying “I feel like it is increasing.”

So there you go. You guys have all decided that you want to feel like crime is increasing, probably because it supports your political beliefs. There really isn’t anything left to say.
All I can speak on is NYC, and there is a reason Hochul sent in the National Guard to the Subways. There is a reason there are now units just for the Migrant shelters. There is a new task force for Menatlly Ill violent homeless. There is a reason stores are closing or locking up all the merchandise. I can't even go into a 7-11 and grab a soda in Brooklyn., I need to be buzzed in and tell them what I am getting. The only reason you would say things are not an issue is to serve YOUR political beliefs, and I can fucking guaruntee you you don't live near NYC. We emptied the prisons, stopped prosecuting many crimes and let people out with no cash bail. What did you think would happen.

Here is Bragg on why there was no bail set for the Migrants that attacked police. They were let right back out, and several have fled the state. Even Hochul said they should be in Jail:

liberal sources say crime isn't up due to migrants but show me another place where 62 women get their phones snatched:

You know how I know it isn't political agenda driven? When minorities are the most Vocal about the crime surge:

Because that’s what people want to see. It isn’t so much that the stats are being juked. It’s that there is a concerted effort to make everyone feel like crime is on the rise. People very intentionally post every video of shoplifting, petty theft, or any other crime they can on YouTube to give the appearance that crime is out of control. Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax all tell you crime is out of control, yet they somehow never mention the delta for crime rates once.

And a 24 hour news cycle that reports a lot of crime. And everyone in the suburbs is watching the fucking ID channel and other fear porn all the time. So they are hyper aware of the crime that does take place.

These things were always happening, and happening at greater rates. But everyone has a hyper awareness about so many more of the instances now because of social media and the internet in general.

Anyone who was a teen or adult in the 90s remembers just how much more dangerous it was, and how we still didn’t give a fuck and just rode skateboards around town. These days, parents would never let their teenage children just go out with their friends all day without knowing where they were going and keeping tabs on them at all times. And it is much safer.

Right but ...I live in Wayne County and things are different. There's homeless where there was not before. There's stabbings and shootings in places that was unheard of like canton and Livonia. Same with robberies in canton and Livonia that were unheard of in the 90s. And Detroit seems the same as its ever been which has never been safe in my life.

So how do I make sense of crime being down when it is not matching what I am actually seeing in the places I live work and spend my time ? I don't want to see it and I'm not suffering from conformation bias but what you are telling me isn't lining up with what I am experiencing.

Now I'm not saying across the board crime isn't down , but I am saying that doesn't mean that it's not up in certain places either.

I'm not buying Wayne County being safer than its ever been.

Being homeless is not a crime. Unless you are in the south and parts of the Midwest where they have essentially criminalized vagrancy.

Crime rates in general are down. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that crime is lower than it was in each and every location.

Additionally, according this this site which I have found to contain accurate data in the past, Wayne, MI seems to have consistently had a crime rate much higher than that of the state of Michigan, and the US, for at least 14 years (they only have data to 2018).

So then the question is: Why now? Why is everyone convinced that it’s so much worse now? It looks like crime in that locale spiked in 2016 and 2017.

Fox, Newsmax and OAN are liars. NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN said so and they wouldn't lie to us

If you say it enough times, you'll eventually start to believe it

Because some of us prioritize real life experiences and empirical evidence over confirmation bias from online data sources funded by corporate bankers and big tech media fact checkers

I have literally posted all of the data that backs up the fact that crime in the US is dropping. Your feelings are hurt. I get it. But you are not making your life any better by believing bulkshit.

Show me the data that proves:
1. That crime was lower in the 1990s than it is today, and
2. That crime in recent months has been rising overall in the US.

If you can’t do that, you can shut up.

^^^

Lol. Yeah, some of the data I posted was compiled by the FBI, not “big tech.” And the only thing “big tech” does with that data is tie into government databases via an API and put it in a chart.

A bunch of pussies who are afraid of everything we’re exposed ITT. Not much else to say other than I know you guys got those Facebook messages during the Floyd protests saying “OMG, we just found out ANTIFA is coming to <insert your insignificant town’s name here> tonight! Everyone, lock your doors and be careful!”
And you guys thought it was real.

The statistics are coming from the city, not a news network.

You aren't gathering "empirical evidence". You're using anecdotes and cherry picked news headlines to back up your belief in a larger trend that doesn't statistically exist. You know, the exact definition of confirmation bias.

I lived in the 1990's, I was not sheltered, I was not an infant.

When I see you clowns make statements like "things were more dangerous back then" or "Crime is down" I automatically know you are entirely full of shit. I don't have to go searching the internet for data and stats to figure things out

Is that the same federal bureau that mysteriously lost key evidence in the Epstein/Maxwell investigations?

Bastions of truth and integrity, pardon me

And how were you compiling your crime statistics for the entire city of 8 million people during your time there?

You've got to realize how stupid you sound when, for example there were over 2200 murders in NYC in 1990, and only 391 last year.

And how were you compiling your crime statistics
you bums really just like going in circles, I know you realize how stupid you look when you refuse to acknowledge the content of the posts you are replying to?

Lol at @SKYNET getting dismantled in this thread.

Being proud that you have no idea what you're talking about isn't a good thing bud.
