Google bought a building in Manhattan New York without fanfare and Amazon’s tactics of requesting tax breaks and handouts. They’ve also bought the building across the street.

If you do research, Amazon already has a fulfillment center on Staten Island, New York. There’s another warehouse where the property owner publicized Amazon signed the property contract to build another warehouse near the HQ that Amazon walked away from. If they really wanted to, they could of negotiated but refused to. Now, we hear they’re opening up in Manhattan, New York just like Google.

I wouldn’t be surprised they’ll apply for the same tax credit and programs without the politicians making public announcements. They’ve learned their lesson. The Governor and Mayor were criticized for cutting the deal without any transparency or input from the local community.

Companies like Google and Amazon are default monopolies. Google dropped their “Do No Evil” slogan. Only in Europe are they scrutinized for being monopolistic. One of the founders has a rare genetic disorder and he realizes accessing people’s genetic info through companies that cater to genetic home tests can potentially solve this disorder. Google is in the business like many to collect info on you then sell it to other companies.

Idk about all their locations, but I live a couple miles from one. Starting pay is $15+/hr, full time work and insurance from day one. Not sure what more ya want?
