But in fact, it was a thread that explained that I liked the fact that the like button was gone, so that we could make threads super long with manual likes.
what gives? Why would that be deleted? Even late at night the few people online liked it, and it was getting manual likes.

And also, why delete it instead of wastelanding it?

Sounds like the sort of thing which, at worst, should have been merged into a pre-existing thread on likes. Like, say, the poll thread the mods started and are now ignoring. Why canvass your clientele for its opinion simply to disregard it?
