Predicting it now: Ferg will break the UFC record for most consecutive losses

Kind of crazy to think that this guy hasn't won since he challenged for an (interim) title. Prior to that, he hadn't lost in eight years. What a rollercoaster ride.

He is going to get cut. His price tag isn't cheap.

As a big BJ Penn, I really hope he does

Tony with the Bigfoot Silva energy. Depressing, but Ferg is a grade-A peckerhead so it's more palatable. He had his moment in the sun and nobody will ever be able to take that away from him, whatever that's worth.

Ya'll be disrepecting Smilin Sam's efforts.

But he finally got a W so it's all good
UFC should sign him for a 10 fight deal with that win!

He has a win or two left in him I believe, but he is going downhill like a snowball. Let’s not forget he was looking pretty good in that chandler fight until that crazy ass front kick.

Only 1 way Ferg can win an that is by getting off the psyc meds.
His skin took on a noticeably different texture once he was put on them.
It wont be hard to tell come fight week and the cameras are all over him.

that or quit his pro baseball career

He's not that marketable or a draw lol. If he was he would have gotten pushed to a title shot sooner. When he was se to fight Khabib he was always the B-side in that.

Good chance he gets cut with his next 1-2 losses.

Thats one of those record that the UFC decides. It's up to the UFC if they are going to give Tony another fight after losing to Bobby Green.

If we took at Sam Alvey he had 2 split decisions and a draw in there. He was also a lower level guy they could pair with anyone. He helped stuff cards. To get the record Tony needs to lose but look impressive like he did in the Justin G and Chandler fights is. The problem is with every loss he's fighting worse and worse fighters so these moral victories mean less and less.

By my count Tony would need to drop 2 more to catch BJ at 7.

7 straight loss club: BJ Penn

6 straight loss club:

Hector Lombard
Baroni
Elvis Sinosec*

*had fights outside of UFC in between

Longest winless streaks:

Sam Alvey 9 0-8-1
BJ Penn 8 0-7-1
Cowboy 7 0-6-1nc

Dishonorable Mention:

Tito Ortiz
1 win in last 10 UFC fights 1-8-1

BJ Penn
1 win in last 11 UFC fights 1-9-1

Currently its BJ Penn with 7 straight loses and 1-9-1 in his last 11 UFC fights...

Ridiculous matchmaking though. They wanted to give him the leech after 4 losses too. Now after 5 you'd think they'd give him someone who doesn't have some of the best boxing in the whole fucking sport. Jesus christ

Tony told them this is the fight he wanted.
