I think MMA fighters and female companions not mixing well is a more accurate inference. Not sure where you're from, but the United States really is not the worst place for women. Not by a long fucking shot. There are areas of the world that a man's word/testimony is actually worth twice as much as a woman's in a court of law. Also Russia passed a bill decriminalizing domestic abuse last year. No fucking joke. There are weird stipulations about it, but statistically speaking a woman DIES every 40 minutes from domestic abuse in Russia

So as popular and cool and trendy as it is to hate on the United States, they're actually not all that bad when it comes to women's safety/rights/etc. With allegations against Abel Trujillo, Anthony Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Travis Browne (not saying all of those are true, but chances are there is some truth to some of the allegations against some of them), as well as the examples you listed, I'd say there may be an alarming connection between MMA fighters and domestic violence though.
