I'm curious what ramifications will occur north of the border since so much of the internet relies on american infrastructure.

It will also be interesting to see if a stay of the repeal is ordered pending legal challenges, or if it is allowed to go through in the mean time.

If the repeal is allowed to go through during challenges I think the corporations will fuck things over in the mean time and a truly NN will never exist again (insofar as it does now)

1. Because more and more power is being taken from the people.
2. This may just spread to Europe. It might take 5 years or 10 years, but theres a chance.

I don't get it... Republicans repeal whatever the fuck they want but everybody's acting as if this is set in stone. If Democrats are so pro-net neutrality naturally they it will be reinstated in the next legislature.

Is someone from here going to go crazy and they deem Sherdog harmful to society and banned from their pipelines?

Or perhaps repeated uploading of copy written material causes the isp's to block the site out of fear of lawsuits from big media corporations?

If major ISPs choke out small-time content generators for the next 8 years it won't matter if the regulations get repealed, we won't be able to flip a switch and return to where we are now overnight.

its actually painful reading American politics the past couple years... the populace was up in arms over the 1%, fucking sit-ins and rallies nationwide that were in the tens of thousands of people

then that SAME 1% wants to collectively capitalize on making MORE money off what they've decided is suddenly ALSO a utility so they can rip more of the general population off.

I mean when is enough?

I live in one of the most expensive cities in the fucking world, and even with the promise of a VERY generous donation towards a down payment, I likely will NEVER own a home in this city without drastic changes.... but at least I have my fucking 150 speed internet for $50 a month
