That was my first Sagat match. I'm just pleased I hit a single AA dp. I like having a real dp again. It feels really fast too. Faster than Cammy's anyway. I think hers are a frame or two behind Ryu. I'm assuming Sagat's are the same.

Yeah. Even with Cammy I had a tendency to play lame. It's why I want to stick with him. I'd probably be playing Guile if I was at all comfortable with charge moves.

I think my execution is good enough with him now that I just need to grind some matches and get used to punishing stuff. Today was mostly just feeling clumsy, but I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do most of the time. You're completely right about me needing to use st. lk. Especially because jab whiffs so often on crouchers (I'd heard people say this but didn't realize how bad it really is).

@Thunderhead , thanks for the games, man. I think G fits your play style. It seems like he has really good mix ups. I'm kind of scared of what playing against him will be like if you're ever as comfortable with him as you are with Ed.

Gg, like @SwamiLeoni said, I think it's best that you spam the crap out of his tiger shot to keep your opponent at bay. He's got a long range and can be quite frustrating to play against, akin to Guile's zoning style. I'm still dicking around with G at the moment; I'm having trouble linking his combos, but hopefully with enough experience I'll play him in the ranked matches soon.
 
I played a bunch of ranked afterward and unsurprisingly I'm in super bronze again. The good news is it's almost entirely because I need to work on players who abuse close range cross ups. Once I take care of that I'll probably shoot right back up to super/ultra silver.

I'm not sure how to do it though. I'm thinking back dash and buffer dp, buffering dp on almost every wake up, or maybe jump back medium punch.

Sagat really needs to be able to hit his dps more so than any other character I think. Practically everybody else has a reliable normal that covers their head, but jab loses out pretty frequently to certain button timings.

Fuudo vs. NL in grand finals of Hong Kong esports festival. I think NL is the only Cammy in top 8. I think that speaks to the size of the talent pool in SF. Cammy is as good as as everyone thinks, but all the top players have been doing their homework. Fuudo in particular has been blowing up some of Cammy's more common options.

For some of you who have connection issues, I recommend watching this video. Jimmy goes into detail about how this new router made for gamers helped alleviate his lag. I believe the router is around $200, but both Jimmy and Vesper seem to swear by it.

Apparently, X-Kira, a Street Fighter V dataminer, is back. On Neofighters forums, at least. Here's a new huge leak from him (translated from Portuguese):

Another version of Street Fighter V is already on the way. Arcade Edition is just a beta in comparison to what we'll have eventually. New mechanics will be added to the game soon, thus giving us V-Mode. In the next Season we will get V-System 1 and 2, which will also be customizable, and we will also have a new mode, and Hybrid. V-Mode contains the following features:
1: V-Break: It's similar to V-Reversal, but it breaks the combo similar to what we know as Breaker in Killer Instinct.
2: V-Custom: A mixture of SFEX2's Excel, SFA Rose's Soul Illusion, SSFIV Juri's Feng Shui Engine, SFIII Yang & Yun's Seiei Enbu and Genei Jin respectively, and it gives access to a new type of "SFIV Ultra Combo" / "SFEX2 Meteor Combo".
3: V-Cancel: This new feature is totally different from the well-known FADC.

Inputs:
1: V-Break: F+3P or B+3K.
2: V-Custom: MP+LK / MP+MK / MP+HK (each of the three activations grant different effects)
3: V-Cancel: HP+HK

-New Critical Arts will be part of the next Season.
-New features will also be part of the current V-System;
-The second V-Reversal will be one of the new features, the second V-Reversal will be to Evade or Attack, and all the chars will have these two features, those who already had a Dodge will gain an Attack;
-E.g. Nash's current V-Reversal is a Dodge (Sonic Move - Avoid), he will get an Attack (Crossfire Blitz), in which case it will be a Single Attack.
-The 3P V-Reversal of Vega will be switchable to the version of Attack (Shining Claw), while his 3K V-Reversal will continue to be a Dodge (Short Backlash)..
-Another great novelty will be part of the next Season, now we'll be able to use the V-Reversal during the V-Trigger, but it will be necessary to sacrifice the Timer of the V-Trigger (The meter goes to 0 when you activate the V-Reversal and the V-Trigger ends immediately)...
-However, Necalli does not receive this novelty, the reason is simple, he has the Infinite Time V-Trigger...
-V-Skill 2 may also be part of the new Season, but it will be selectable before the match on the same screen of selection of the V-System Version...

The latest Build contains new Critical Arts of G and Sagat. Ed also has CA2, but in his case, it's only accessible on PS4, the PC version only contains the animation. In the case with PS4, all the files are already present.

Additionally, there are still three game modes to be added to the game, which were datamined long before:
1. Color Edit
2. Dramatic Battle
3. Boss Rush

Street Fighter V is not going anywhere anytime soon!
 
If this is true, what a game changer. This should bring some massive hype to next season. We all knew that SFV:AE wouldn’t be the last MAJOR update. Although, some of these updates seem a little questionable (CooooombooooBreaker??). But all of them seem fun in some way. I’m curious what the customizable V-Triggers will entail. 2 vs 3 bar differences and you get to pick? Kind of confusing. Either way, if some of these appear to be true, we’re in for a treat. Balancing on the other hand…..that’s going to be really hard for Capcom to figure out. New Meta, better game.
