The fact that Jamahal Hill became champion is proof that LHW has regressed HARD

Hill is good. He has very good cardio and his power lasts all 5 rounds. He dominated Glover who was .inute away from beating Jiri in previous fight.

Not really. Jiri got injured, poatan wasn't there yet, and ankalaev and Jan got a draw. Alot of crazy shit had to happen for it to end up like that. Bitch.
RIght place, right time.

Worked for Jones at LHW too.

Its not even the division as much as the UFC itself as an organization. Don't get me wrong LHW is this as hell in the UFC. Jamahal Hill didn't "Become" champion. He was parachuted into a title fight after two other guys were parachuted into a title fight and it ended in a draw.

Jan beating Reyes for the vacant belt doesn't establish a new valid Lineage.
He promptly lost it to Glover who promptly lost it to Jiri who promptly vacated (Under the UFC's pressure IMO) due to an injury despite being back quicker then other champions who were out and did not get pressured to vacate. So Jan and Uncle-Eye-Ev were parachuted in to a Vacant title fight and since it ended in a draw Hill was parachuted in to a Vacant title fight one month later against Glover. He won that and then promptly vacated (again under UFC pressure IMO). Then Alex Pereira is parachuted into a Vacant title fight that the UFC markets as valid since Jiri was "Champion" and never lost his title.

This rush to fill cards with "Championship" fights that are not truly the two best in division. When a title is vacated like Jon Jones leaving they really should have an official tournament. Take the top 8 fight in a bracket and have 9 - 12 fight as Alternates. Stick to a schedule of when and where they will fight, if they fall out due to injury so be it as they have alternates. Once a champion is crowned their Lineage can't be questioned and you can go back to more matchmaking style title fights.

Agree. Don't see anything special. 13ish years ago(LHW hayday) he wouldn't have even been ranked.

Funny how people who complain about certain fighters like Ian Garry and Sean O’Malley getting favourable match ups yet no one mentions how Hill gets a titleshot after beating a post Jon Jones 2 fight losing streak Thiago Santos whilst managing to avoid Jan, Rakic, Jiri, Ankalaev.

Jon Jones struggled against Reyes and Santos who then ended up getting a train run on them by the newer gen LHWs, the average lower ranked LHW is probably shitter than before but the top guys all could stand a good chance of beating jones.

It's literally the most paper belt of all time.

Jiri - actual champ - gets hurt and relinquishes belt. Next two guys up - Ankalaev and Jan duke it out, a draw that Dana freaks out about for some reason even though it wasn't a bad fight. So they go down the line even more and get 40 year old Glover and #7 ranked Jamahal Hill.

Literally the runner up to the runnner up and he somehow ended up with the belt.

205 may be the worst division in the UFC right now. Sad because because it used to be the premier division.

Hill really put it to Glover. He's better than he gets credit for, but TS is not wrong.

The UFC's LHW and HW divisions are trash. This isnt really up for debate. The divisions are at the weakest point they have ever been.

If by regressed you mean no Jon Jones or DC. Sure.

But Hill has legit skills and beat up Glover worse than sherdog's darling Jiri did.

Once again we got someone else exaggerating. You don't remember the days when Tim Sylvia was the heavyweight champion?
