Slipknot's first show with new drummer, lot of people suggesting its a Brazilian named Eloy Casagrande, a former drummer of Sepultura.

I thought this was a cover band at first but apparently it was them in their 1999 costumes to celebrate 25 years of their 1st album

Completely understandable mate. I'm mostly a traditional metal guy and just enjoy seeing them take that on ... as long as there's plenty of celtic frost riffs of course ha

Lotsa comments on how Eloy is more similar to Joey Jordison and way better than Jay Weinberg. I don't get it, they all sound similar. I don't think Jay was a step down in quality.

Here's what I got going on this weekend:

Pumped for Biohazard and Exciter, will be my first time seeing them. Always pumped to see Warbringer. Forbidden just did some massive shows in Chile and Brazil so they are going to be firing on all cylinders.

It's been a long time since I've been to a gig but I thinking about Kamelot, Ad Infinitum, Blackbriar and Frozen Crown later this year. Should be a fun return to live music.
