Movies The star wars film I would create.

I've always preferred the Empire not because I'm a fascist or anything just because they have the cooler gear and sexier uniforms and rebels are boring. I'd love some more stuff from their perspective I guess, kind of like the Thrawn books maybe. Maybe a military-focused series based on fleet combat where it's like the story of one Star Destroyer and its inner workings and politics and stuff. Or something like a throwback to the incredible SW space combat games of the past like TIE Fighter and X-Wing. Easy to look at those games just as simple shooters but their storytelling was top notch too

Some kind of lower level conflict during the Rebellion I think theres plenty of room for, either a group of Rebel Fighter aces or a captain of a larger ship in a conflict with an imperial officer in a Star Destroyer(or more), could even more a Starwars Wrath of Khan like game of cat and mouse. Simple idea of course and what it would depend on is the execution but really those kind of films you could almost make as many as you want within a much larger conflict, could make them as non "Mega blockbusters" as well if the scale is a bit smaller, more like $100 million budgets than $200 million.

The force wasn't his thing though or the movie would've been over at the moment he first saw Aniken. He was more of a fighter, not in tune with the force like Vader.

I think he would have to do something else to suspend her. I agree on the titties part though.

*Also a Darthe origin movie would be sick.

The dude forced jumped like 50 feet in the air and used the force to push an elevator button, he could certainly force choke someone.

That was purely just his species athleticism IMO. Also the elevator button just happened to glitch when he motioned at it.

The doors at Walmart open when I motion at them. Doesn't mean I'm in tune with the force.. Or am I.....

What about "Luke" which focuses on Luke and Leia coming to terms with being siblings in the midst of a torrid love affair. In the end, Luke transitions and becomes a woman.

The story writes itself.

As long as you recast them both as lgbtq poc in wheelchairs. Otherwise you're a white supremacist.

All the crazy ideas I've had regarding Star Wars growing up and past adulthood...absolutely the LAST thing I ever wanted to see is the exact shit they keep serving me.

But you have to include multiverse time travel in which we find out luke is actually leia.

To be honest though I think loads of franchises have had the same issues, they either go for "lore" or "nostalgia" or maybe a bit of both because thats the low effort way to get interest.

Personally I think the reason for making Starwars really should be the ascetic more than anything else, the plot really is really a mix of generic fantasy and generic war film, anything you could do in Starwars you could do probably do in some other film/show in those genres. What really makes it stand out IMHO is the look of it, the mix of fronteer landscapes, worn industrial tech and orientalism is pretty unique and gives you a great legacy to draw on.

Thats the difference between Force Awakens and Rogue One for me, the former I think is more interested in throwing things at you in a nostalgic fashion "look its the millenium falcon!" but I feel it does a pretty bad job of actually recreating the feel of the originals. Rogue One has a few bits of nostalgia in it but really its concerned mostly with its own story and in recreating the setting of the originals whilst updating the look a bit/

It is all about the villains.

The antagonist almost always drives the story, gives the plot motion and delivers the conflict and action.

I would go Clone Wars Era because I think you have the best characters.

I would love to see a General Grievous film or series. Grievous was a bad motherfucker, has a gnarly origin story and fucked up a lot of Jedi. He was never ever ever going to redeem himself or have some corny coming to Jesus moment.

Lots of good bounty hunters in that era too, which could make for interesting adventures.

Assajj Ventress
That chick with the antenna on her head
Cad Bane
Hondo Onaka
Young Boba Fett

Count Dooku
Darth Maul
Savage Opress

Mandolore still functioning and full of flying jetpack warriors.

Ya. It should be a sci fi western.

I think a lot of genre stuff naturally fits in with Starwars because thats really what the originals were based on, some westerm, some samurai, some war, fun aventure, etc mixed in with fantasy and sci fi.

Neither the prequels nore the sequels I felt really followed that, the prequels were more concerned with the details of the setting and the sequels were more concerned with nostalgia. Rogue One is by far the best film since the originals for me because it keeps to the style of the originals, just mixing in some modern middle eastern war film style along with well done drama than stands on its own.

As far as the OP does I could actually imagine an "R rated Starwars", the originals are assocated with the rise of family blockbusters but really dispite the Ewokes in Jedi I would argue they do actually have more grit to them than you'd assocate with family blockbusters. Lukes aunt and uncle ending up smoking bones, arms chopped off in the cantina, Han shooting Greedo, the Wampa attacking Luke, the whole plot with Vader, slave girl Leia, etc you could probably turn up the sex and violence a bit more without it really feeling out of place although I doubt they would for a film unless the budget was much lower than normal.

Thats again an example of how the prequels and sequels differ from the originals to me, the base tone of those films is just more family friendly so when dark stuff does happen it feels out of place.

We are never getting an R rated Star Wars movie, it's a franchise designed for children and owned by Disney. Now Star Trek? That I could see.

A Count Dooku origins and solo journey film

Give me more stories about the world between worlds, the father, the mother, the daughter, the son. The force.

I think a Vader R rated movie might be solid.

I think just a Luke movie would be Massive smash hit. There's so much obvious stuff Disney could do but they don't care about Making money or the fans . They just want to message an signal.
