Disney don't even seem to want fans' money anymore, given their obsession with pushing garbage like diversity and equality.

They own everything. A pseudo media monopoly. They don't need money for their legacy stuff, it pays for itself. Inclusion isnt a bad thing. Everyone who is a decent person should feel included. The heavy ham fisted bullshit is annoying though, and ruined their most recent fecal dump (Wish). We can hope that they reel it back a bit, but the ungodly amounts of money Disney can generate can literally change public perception and norms over time. Disney doesn't mind losing 100s of millions to drive social narratives to their benefit over decades.

They do need people to keep coming to their parks though. I go to Disney parks 2-3 times a year, and you might as well make it rain with the amount of money you have to throw around just to do anything.

I just have a love hate relationship with them. Love a lot of their stuff. The die hard fans are so fucking insufferable though. It's like the opposite of the Elon nuthuggers. Never seen people worship a corporation quite like it, like they're sovereign nation or something. When the "Don't say gay bill" was circulating around, rabid Disney fans called for the heads of all who were pushing it and removed them from all discussion channels. Meanwhile, the bill is two pages, few of them ever even read it, and nowhere does it even say those words in the bill. Disney doesn't care, just ramp of the fervent loyalism to their fabricated cause.
