Elections Trump Indicted On 91 Counts

ROFL!

They literally had to disqualify 50% of the jury pool, because they stated they could not be impartial. They are in the 2nd Bluest / Democratic Stronghold area for the jury and they could have easily changed the venue to make it more just. The judge has allowed a DEI Lawyer onto the jury and a woman with all sorts of anti-Trump posts in Social media against the Defense's objections. You really want to talk about the jury? It's a loser topic for the Democrats. It's a loaded jury. A Democratic Party judge who is violating New York law with his daughter profiting from the Democratic Party and the campaigns they run. You cannot have family members that may materially benefit by New York Law and be a judge on a case. He was supposed to recuse himself by law.

Already building up the excuses in case he's convicted. Solid strategy. That way you can keep up your hero worship without even blinking an eye!

Diaper Don is soiling his knickers again. Last time his persecution fetish was over not having a jury, but now he's getting one, and he's still complaining:

The jury selection process is known in the legal world as voir dire, when prosecutors, defense attorneys and the judge work together to question potential jurors, identify their biases and whittle down candidates until only the most trusted people remain.

During voir dire, jurors can get sent home in a few ways. First, they can ask the judge to be excused, either because they do not believe they can weigh the defendant's charges fairly or because they cannot afford to take time away from home or work to sit on a jury.

Jury candidates can also be sent home through either for-cause or peremptory challenges.

Striking someone from the pool for cause means the juror has demonstrated a clear bias — perhaps because of their profession, their personal background or their views on relevant issues — that would prevent them from reaching a fair verdict.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys can request an unlimited number of for-cause dismissals, but each must be approved by the judge. That applies in Trump's case, too, and is the primary way that the court will weed candidates out.

Peremptory challenges, on the other hand, are what Trump is referring to when he says that his team only gets 10 strikes during jury selection.

In every trial, the prosecution and the defense are each afforded a finite number of peremptory challenges, meaning they can send a juror home without providing an explanation or requiring approval from the judge.

This type of free pass challenge is how attorneys on each side get some direct say in who sits on the jury — by striking someone who has not technically demonstrated an excusable bias, but whom they fear may sympathize with the opposing side.

New York state has clear rules about how many peremptory challenges each side gets based on the size and type of case. For a criminal trial involving class E felonies, which are what Trump is being charged with, 10 peremptory challenges per side fits the state guidelines.

If both sides were allowed an unlimited number of peremptory strikes, impaneling a jury in any trial would prove an impossible task. And in Trump's case specifically, where the former president has argued that he is too famous to receive a fair trial, his legal team could easily strike their way through the several hundred people who were summoned for jury duty just to prove the point that impaneling a trustworthy jury is a lost cause.

Whaaaaaa?!?!?!

You mean to tell ME that Trump CAN'T indefinitely delay the trial by dismissing potential juror after juror ad-infinitum?!?!

Say it ain't so!

This whole thing is hilarious. How the Democrats keep shooting themselves in the face is baffling.

The judge had to dismiss 1/2 of the jury they interviewed so far because they straight up said they could not be impartial. They are having this trial in the second most Democratic voting area in the entire nation. They could have taken this to many other places in New York with a half decent mix of jurors, but nope... let's give Trump the absolute worst jury pool possible in New York and the second worse in the entire U.S.A. The judge acts like a Change of Venue is not appropriate? He's a joke and a Democratic Party donor with a daughter that works for the Democrats. A DEI Lawyer is on the jury. A woman that bombed all over Trump is social media... on the jury.. and the judge knows she did and refuses the disqualify request from the Defense.

Then Trump cannot attend his Baron's graduation? We give people passes for dental appointments all the time. We only hit the hardest criminals, like Murderers with the, "you can't go to your Mom's funeral" treatment, but Trump's getting it. I think Trump nicely embarrassed the judge with that one and the judge is going to have to let him attend, or Trump will go regardless, get in trouble for it (hopefully arrested), and the Democrats just made Trump Father of the Year during a trial about a payoff to a porn star for sex. How entertaining and stupid of the Democrats. Democrats and the MSM have shown that they can make a rich, dirty businessman a victim. How that's would have been possible pre-Trump I could not have told you, but here we are. 2/3 of America thinks the case is a farce.

Now for the "case". The charges are misdemeanors and beyond the Statute of limitations.... way beyond. The "underlying crime" is one that is a Federal Crime. The DOJ refused to bring charges for it, but Alvin Bragg is somehow going to make this Federal crime he cannot charge (as a State Prosecutor) Trump with the underlying crime? The contortions made to bring this to trial and accepted by this scumbag judge tells you how corrupt the Democrats have made the system in New York.
You are the limbo king. No bar too low for you, eh pal?

1) Merchan used self selection, giving jurors an out if they wanted it. That's why 1/2 of the pool was dismissed right off the bat.

2) You get processed where you comitt the crime. Don't want to go to court in Manhattan?? Don't do crime in Manhattan.

3) Why lie? What is it about being part of the Repugnantcan party that makes you unable to be truthful?? Like, I KNOW you aren't a dumb guy, yet you embrace obvious lies. Is this so that you don't have to examine your own misguided value system? You KNOW lying is wrong right?

Judge Merchan has NOT made a decision about the Graduation. 100% fabrication. Not only that, Trump hasn't gone to any of his other children's graduations, as if he'd go to Baron's if it weren't an attempt to delay. You talk about MSM turning tiny-D into a victim, but it's the exact opposite. Faux, Gnusmax etc./ Alina Habba and Trump himself all repeat this bold faced lie in order to garner sympathy from his rubes... ie) You.

4) Your legal word salad is exceptionally misguided. But rather than explain what has already been explained, we'll just have to agree that you'll still be spouting this bullshit after the trial is long over and it's all been adjudicated.

Did drowsy Don get to go to barons grad so he could catch some z’s over there instead?

It's in May and the Judge has already said that the court won't be in session on Wednesday.

If Trump attends the graduation, it will be the first time he has ever attended one for any of his children.

Not Ivanka, Eric, Don jr. or Tiffany.

No, not one.

The best part about it is now he has to go to the graduation and he actually has no desire too. That's gonna piss him off lol.
