News ***UFC Gym closes***

I spent a year at Xtreme Couture back in the day no complaints...but back then big Randy still came to teach every once in awhile...i went to his seminar before the Machida fight in Toronto years ago it was awesome

What issues are they facing now? ...

Just recalling the wave of Xtreme Couture gyms popping up,
and of course... dying out.

Very rad (getting to catch the seminar). Randy was a legend.

What a shame, However, I have heard through the grapevine Dana White made everything k by mailing ex employees a complimentary UFC hotdog brander.

Very classy

Suddenly closes without telling members or staff

Poor customer experience poor branding
Franchise fees are a bitch. Classy probably starts feeling like a luxury when you’re massively in debt.

Guy would have probably been better off with a “5 Buff Guys and a Truck” moving company franchise (or whatever it’s called). Smaller upside, but probably more stable.

A few years ago this happened with a few different Gracie gyms. And let’s be honest, something like this happens to some small business every day in every big city.

It certainly sucks for the employees and members. I’d be pissed too.

Several of them did the same thing in BC at the beginning of the pandemic (that part is understandable), then "got sold" while still owing back-pay to some coaches.

It is a franchise. UFC has nothing to do with it outside of the logo. It's probably bleeding from the pandemic. My gym just closed outta nowhere after I paid 6 months in cash... I am kinda pissed lol.
They were all LA BOXING for the most part before turned to UFC GYM. Then they add an octagon to it.

Where is this - Canada? Yeah, I can imagine Canada isn't hospitable to businesses.

Yes, Canada is a horrible place to run a business. Basically 2nd worst only to California.

You should try reading books instead of imagining facts.

Moron you really have no clue. I deal with businesses every day in Canada. It's freaking horrible red tape bureaucracy bullshit dragging businesses down and killing them.

I would feel shame saying " yeah I work out at the UFC gym"
Everything about their brand is cringe

I'm sorry to see what you've done to your mind.

I own a medium-sized company in Canada

After spending millions of dollars, our tax return for the past 8 years is no more than 30K . Not to mention we've been audited 3 times, and one time the CRA officer said its suspicious people of my background are spending so much money??? I shit you not

Not to mention the CAD dollar is so weak, and the majority of shit you buy is in US dollars

If you wanna do business in Canada, your best bet is to park illegal drug money from china and then launder it through casinos and real estate

Cause when it comes to that everyone turns a blind eye
