UFC Has Lost All Credibility With RR/WMMA

To make the olympic team in the US...
The fact that she was that competitive when the US is such a weak judo nation is to her credit. You have to look at who she was competing with in the world. There may be way more male wrestlers in the average college division but they are only competing in their division. She competed against the best of the best from nations where judo is huge.

Ok, LOL. Davis got ko'ed by forehead shots from a 135 pound female. Ok. If you're getting ko'ed by forehead punches by a 135 pound person in a schoolyard headlock. You probably shouldn't fight, seeing that your chin is nonexistent.

You idiot

The throw KO'd her

I did its pathetic

It's actually increasing their credibility as a promotional company which is what they are. They're in the entertainment business and happen to use MMA as a foundation to build around.

The more you pretend they're something else the more you'll find yourself disappointed.
Now, I just watch the match ups that are interesting and try to ignore the other stuff.

You people sound so fucking ridiculous

Grow up. Shes fighting the best competition there is (Besides Holm and Cyborg) but shes just on another level

Yall had no problem when Anderson smashed high level opponents but when an outspoken woman does it yall get butthurt

Grow up

Grow up pfft. Not these posters

Holly Holm just got signed, Carano is getting signed, Zingano is having her tuneup fight, Cyborg is going to fight 135 in december. Calm the fuck down.

Ronda fought the best in her division. Julia Budd, Ediane Gomes at FW, at BW she fought Miesha Tate, Sarah Kaufmann, Sara McMann and Alexis Davis. All of them ranked.

WMMA talent is shallow? Not really, women may not look as explosive and atheltic as man but that's it (only Ronda and cyborg come close). Well bringing a UFC division for women made a lot of buzz and may inspire a lot of women out there to compete.

And all the fucking deal about adding lighter divisions and whatever, fuck off (I'm a FW/BW) :p. And Jose Aldo is #2 on P4P rankings and Conor Mcgregor has a countdown show for a fight pass card in his hometown.

Lol...Rousey has fought 4 times in the UFC. Three of those fights were against current top 5 contenders, and the 4th (Carmouche) was at the time and is now slipped to 7. She's fought 4 of the current top 5, and was scheduled to fight the 5th.

UFC aint padding shit...She's walking through the best fighters they can find for her to fight.

You really don’t know what you’re talking about do you…

The term active participant is use only for people that are still participating actively in a national recognizes competition.

Example if X runner breaks the international records at his local race it still counts for as breaking the world recorded internationally.

Just having judo club membership does not make you an active participant you most have competed at list one time in that year or at least have the potential to “scholarships”.

Let’s look at the rest of the world France has the most with 58,000 judoka both man and women are registered with the French Judo Federation this number is including 70 percent children but these are not all active participate, and in second place is Japan with 19,000 judoka both man and women with a similar number of children who are registered but not active.

Know let look at the US with wrestlers 272,149 just men who are active.

20 million active participants is Track and field world numbers, not Judos and please don’t try to tell me that judo has the same number as Track and Field, when they can barely get 1,000 with both male and Female in the US.
That 272k figure is for high school. Most don't go beyond high school competition. Since you are so big on participation data, you should be using post high school participation and post collegiate participation data.

lol @ considering 14-17 year olds as competiton at the World senior level.

We are yet to see a Woman smash high level opponents. If she beats Cat,Gina or Cyborg like she says she will then she can say she beat the best competition there is but right now she hasn't fought anyone.

Anyone complaining about Rousey or WMMA is clueless about business.

Ronda is one of the few stars UFC has right now and she is getting attention from women and outlets that would NEVER cover the UFC otherwise. The fact that Ronda is destroying these girls doesn't hurt the sport, it helps it. When she finally does lose, it's going to be make the sport even bigger as long as it's to the right person (hopefully Gina or Holly).

Why is Gina still considered a legit challenger after a FIVE YEAR layoff but the currently active BW's aren't?

Furthermore, Cat is a great fighter but why is she considered MORE legit than Kaufman or Davis who have accomplished more especially at BW?

Sick of revisionist history discrediting challengers who lose.

Obviously you're not very smart, so let me say this slowly for you, read and learn.

Why Do Some Countries Win More Olympic Medals?

Low medal tallies can arise both because a country has very few people and because very few of its people effectively participate.
That’s why those numbers are important.

http://www2.sanford.duke.edu/krishna...d_Olympics.pdf

Am not just using NFHS figures am using HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS PARTICIPATION SURVEY for wrestling am also using the same number for Judo… what’s even better am also using an alternate source for Judo too.

You would have read something like this “This year, there were 66 female competitors for 9 contested divisions (including 44kg and Open). In fact, only two women's divisions in the national championships (63 kg and 70 kg) had more than eight competitors.”

I know but you would have to read and that so hard from someone of so little mental attitude.

For someone like Dillashaw to make it into college doing wrestling he already had to compete against a large talent pool just too gets there.
