Unsigned Heavyweights - Thread Four

Click the image, Amir is listed right below Cole.

Rashad Coulter and Alex Garcia are also part of it. Considering he got sparked his last time out, Alex is probably going to die.

It obviously didn't open properly for me yesterday! Sucks, really wanted to see Amir.

Whatever happened to Rasulov signing with the UFC? nothing since those original rumours ages ago.

Not sure if he is UFC level (yet) .
Could have used 1 or 2 good wins before signing with them.

He isn't. But the UFC don't want bellator nabbing him plus they have lots of entry level guys on the roster for him to hone his skills against. I'd stick him in there with Justin Tafa on the next European UFN card. Maybe even Allen Crowder actually

Also given his weight and skills, he'd make a brilliant 205lb prospect if he was willing to cut down.

yeah wish there was more room for HWs to develop but ufc and bellator are far to thirsty for big boy talent.

i'm surprised they don't pick up more faceless Russians, plenty of them with decent records that unlike the Brazilian guys they have fought actual competition. UK scene is like the Canadian scene, lots of shitty burn outs that mean nothing and guys with 4-7 records fighting for regional titles.

Most of the Russians are having problems with doping, remember that Ivan shtyrkov got caught on that

talking about Russian HWs, Yuriy Fedorov (climbs to 3-2) just submitted TUF veteran Michel Batista (falls to 4-2) on M-1 Challenge 105

Fedorov now has beat Sergey Goltsov (Denis Goltsov's brother) and a high lv wrestler in Batista, his loses were to Oleg Popov and Alexander Soldatkin, 2 other talented and young Russian heavyweights

I think they should pick up Goltsov at the conclusion of the PFL season, I think the guy is ranked quality.

That 'high-level wrestler' got subbed by Maurice Greene.

i know, should i have said decorated wrestler? because the dude is a Olympian and a Pan winner, but clearly MMA is not for him, fighting isn't for everyone.

Batista is such a bust isn't he. Seemed like we thought he'd be the HW Romero, and he's actually dogshit.

I'd rather have HWs stick to that weight class so long as they keep winning. Ledet did get bullied after dropping down.

It was against two of the best prospects at LHW, but still.
