I'm on the fence but leaning no. Never made the finals. Only 2 All NBA teams (2nd, 3rd) and other than dunks, was never a special player.

He may make it in on virtue of having 25k career points, and the basketball HOF being hilariously easy to make in.

Based on the general standard for getting in? Yes, he'll get in pretty easily. He doesn't have the chips or top-level stats but it's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Titles and Stats.

Agreed, I've forgiven but will never forget he quit on the raptors

Shocking how mediocre Vinsanity’s career stat line is: 17, 4, and 3. That being said, Air Canada did play until his age 43 season which did bog down his career averages.

You think a career average of 17ppg is mediocre?

Paul Pierce = 19.7 ppg
Tracy McGrady = 19.6 ppg
Chris Bosh = 19.2 ppg
Yao Ming = 19.0 ppg
Reggie Miller = 18.2 ppg
Tim Hardaway = 17.7 ppg
Alonzo Mourning = 17.1 ppg
Pau Gasol = 17.0 ppg
Grant Hill = 16.7 ppg
Tony Parker = 15.5 ppg
Steve Nash = 14.3 ppg
Manu Ginobli = 13.3 ppg
Jason Kidd = 12.6 ppg
Vlade Divac = 11.8 ppg
Toni Kukoc = 11.6 ppg
Dikembe Mutombo = 9.8 ppg
Ben Wallace = 5.7 ppg

All of these are HOF inductees who played during the same era. There's a reason he's #20 on the all-time NBA Scoring Leaderboard.

That’s a great point. Shocking how many of those guys have lower PPG that one would think. Also absolute travesty Ben Wallace is in the HOF. Fun to watch on D and he won a title but he was a black hole on offense.

Ben Wallace was one of the greatest shutdown defenders the game has ever seen at his peak. People just flat out couldn't score against their interior defense. They were humiliated. Detroit won its championships because of its defense, and Wallace was the heart of that defense. He absolutely deserves to be in the HoF.

If Yao, Ginobli, Kukoc, Bosh, etc get in, there is really no rationale for VC not getting in.

I vote yes. Though VC gets in, in an unorthodox ways. Not based on All-NBA teams, or chips. But the unique combination of being the best dunk artist ever, having spent >20 years in the league, and having >25k career pts.
