What are your fondest memories of dial up internet?

Yea i still play off and on. mercenaries are better than real people and its fun as fuck to go back and justmolly whop shit that used to take a guild to kill with your super weapons. Been about 2 years since i last played but I feel the pull. I think thats the best game ever made

Remember how they fucked up the way experience was distributed so you would encounter what were known as "hell levels", 54 and 59 being the worst of them and it would take a LONG ass time to level up 1 level. Back then, assuming you didn't die, because death caused a loss of experience, you might play 4 or 5 hours a night for 3 weeks to just to level up from 54 to 55. It was insane and if some asshole trained you and caused death it would make you to rage quit lol.

If someone at the house lifted up the phone it would disconnect and the process would have to start again.

I do remember the grind and it ruined me for life. i start grinding in almost every game I play now due to everquest conditioning . I was like level 75 before i ever did a single quest in skyrim where do you think I learned it. And I loot everything I kill too also Eq conditioning . Game ruined me man. I can play just about any game for hours on end just looting and killing shit. Im looking forward to some red dead grinding in the near future. loot kill repeat xxxxx

I was 16 years old back in 1996 and we had dial up because my dad was a profressor and they permitted his account to work at home.

I spent the first month playing Realms mud and loved it, I was addicated.

I remember I ended up getting horny one night alone and looked up "boobs" and this web site for a boob cruise showed up. It took forever to load but there were these pics of topless chicks.
