I still to this day don't understand how this kick didn't decapitate him. Just shrugged it off with barely a pause. Prime Cro Cop LHK. Flush. Almost no effect.
I do think Roy has the top dog durability claim over the long haul, especially if we are only talking about mma, but this moment is the pinnacle of chin imo

a lot of good picks, but I gotta go with Holloway, dude has fought a lot of good fighters and has never once been dropped, very few times he even got rocked

Hunt also absorbed shots by bigger men and not get rocked. One of the more popular examples is eating head kicks by Cro Cop both in K-1 and MMA.

And by that logic, Ngannou has a better chin than Nelson since Nelson's been knocked out by and Ngannou hasn't.

Edit: Being high on meth and sleep deprived probably didn't help getting hit by Manhoef.
Why you saying it like that? I'm only using your logic, so Ngannou has to have the better chin using your logic.

Also Hunt being ko'd by the smaller fighter in a MW puts a question mark on that chin. Robbie never got slept by that same dude.

Only ever lost his equilibrium when he was hit flush behind the ear after taking Serra too lightly. Ate bombs from prime juiced Hendricks.

No Diaz? No Anderson?

"Holloway is the only fighter in UFC history to complete 27 octagon appearances without suffering a knockdown. Holloway has absorbed 2,086 significant strikes in UFC competition,"

Max does have a great chin, but the amount of people he's fought who were ever actually likely to drop him is fairly low. It's like Poirier (LW), Yair, Aldo, Conor, Stephens. He's among the best strikers at FW himself.

And once you whittle it down to that about Poirier at LW is only the possibly surprising one simply due to the change in weight class. Max wrestlefucked Yair, was better striking than Aldo, Conor wrestlefucked Max cause he blew out his knee, and was better striking than Stephens.

It's not actually THAT crazy that he's never yet been dropped.

Gastelum is at least an honourable mention

Really had a think on this one, glad to see most of y'all agree with me on mark hunt ;)

Can't help but worry Holloway will be a sad tragic case in 10 to 20 years.

Honorable mention that isn't given often, Mousasi

10-20 years? The Ghost of Korean Zombie just repeatedly hurt him.

Max is getting KO'd in the next 1-2 years.

Every time a thread like this comes up, I always end up voting for Roy Nelson. And there's one sequence that solidifies this IMO.
This is an out of prime Roy Nelson, who is out of balance, his head straight back and chin straight out eating a right hook from Lewis that was thrown all the way from his legs. This is as clean of a right hook as you can land in the best possible scenario you can hope for for a knockout.

Yet Roy Neslon didn't even stagger.

Zomg forgot this one

Analogy:

Someone asks: Who took the most punishment during their UFC career?
Normal answers: Darren Elkins, James Vick etc...

You: One underrated one not mentioned yet is Khabib.
Of course, nobody beated the shit out of him, because he had great wrestling and beat all of them, BUT STILL...

Agree. Khabib's chin and cardio allowed him to wrecklessly go for takedowns.

He ate bombs from Justin that would have KO'd every other LW outside of Prime Penn and Edgar maybe.

No he didn't. The shot everybody tries to supposedly show of his insane chin against Justin literally hits his chest and the follow up barely clips him because he's turned his head away from it instead of leaving his chin out.

Nobody's getting KO'd here unless they're Goulet.

There's no particularly strong evidence Khabib had a great chin. He was good at / lucky to always barely get hit, or only get hit after his opponents had slowed and couldn't put out their full power. He never once took some Nelson/Lewis shot and walked through it.

More importantly though, it's very hard to get KO'd when you spend 90% of your fights on top of your opponent or having them tied up. Of course he's not getting KO'd as one of the most successful grapplers of all time. That was the entire intrigue of the Tony fight as Tony actually was effective at fighting off his back.

"The shot"? How about multiple shots
