Mainly compared to western europe

Welfare keeps us going from full eastern euro, the moment welfare goes we will go full romania since 60 procent of population gets goverment assistance

There was a crypto thread much earlier. One poster that i still see around (under a new ID) mined several coins and it might have been pre 2017. Who knows if he saved them.

My colleague at work had his own software company before he hooked up with us and he had to buy 2 bitcoin to pay for server space back in early 2016. It was something like $700 worth of server time/space LOL. I think he had 4 bitcoin or something.

that makes sense. I left in grade 1 and you can imagine at that time there were only 2 state run tv stations. of course no video games at the time.

60% wow... how the hell does the government pay for the 60% of the population on welfare? I get high taxes but how is that even possible when only 40% of people aren't directly taking money from the government?

I know this is an older post but..
In 2019 the average salary in Finland was 3500 euro /month.
The unemployment rate in 2020 was 7.9%.
Finland's unemployment rate has always been a bit higher than the rest of the Nordics. its often between 7 - 9%.

So no 60% is not on welfare by any means.
Finland also taking in less (a lot less) refugees and immigrants than the rest of the Nordics.

I was going on the figures that were provided by a guy that lives there. I didn't fact check him.

3500 a month is pretty shit but there are areas not far away that are far worse I guess.
