The thought of her (uber driver is female) car being stolen would not have crossed her mind. Her knee-jerk reaction was to stop the car and go get the phone.

Fair enough. I just can't help but think if someone throws my fucking phone out of the window, my first priority would be removing them from the car. Possibly also out the window.
