Social 'Ye is cancelled

Ok, so let's suppose the free market is not at play here.

Who forced Adidas to drop Kanye?

Pressure from a hashtag, that is falsely conflated with a bottom line. If the argument is "principle", then fine. If the argument is that Adidas was losing or going to lose boatloads of money because of his comments, there is no evidence that points to that.

It's fair to say that they might have been trying to get ahead of a potential backlash, but there is no evidence that they actually felt one.

a celebrity spokesman for a global corporation stating publicly “I can say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what? Now what?” is not as common as a crack in a sidewalk dummy. Nor is #boycottsaidcompany trending on twitter common for any company . You’re double-legging the ref here. This is drivel lol.

Companies don’t only react to past sales, they anticipate the future as well. Don’t know why you can’t comprehend this simple fact.

You're arguing with a child who has no comprehension of business and thinks billion dollar multinayional entities view the world through a lens as naive as his own

This shit is hilarious. On one hand ive never like Kanye even though some of his music is good. So to watch him lose billions for being an idiot is entertaining.
On the other hand ive always rooted for the underdog and anyone that wants to take on the Jewish Community in such a direct way is really going up against it.
First he never had any clear, coherent points to make but went for a direct attack in the worst way possible. As he tweeted deathcon for jews he should have known he would be drowned out with screams of antisemitism.

Second, just to go after ANY wealthy powerful people half cocked is stupid. To go after a tightly conmected community of people that literally have their own powerful country is suicidal .

Kanye will be destroyed. It was very predictable and we are seeing it play out in real time. You will have a few idiots that insist his fall from grace proves his point but all it proves is you dont pick a fight with powerful people unless you are ready for a fight.

National retailers including footlocker and Gap stopped carrying Ye’s line recently so yes there is tangible evidence sales were in the process of dropping as the amount of stores across the country carrying it and marketing it were decreasing drastically by the day.

You have no evidence that #boycottadidas was falsely conflated with their bottom line unless you can post the data regarding the sales adidas did between Ye’s comments and them dropping him. Which I don’t think they’ve really made public. You’re doing the same thing you’re trying to say is wrong by making a statement about their bottom line off your personal assumption on whether those tweeting about a boycott were following through on it.

You’ve implied a $19 billion company did this based on their feels and the goodness of their heart….which I doubt. They likely had some insight to the direction this was taking their sales and made a business decision.

She was an Israeli politician. Fairly high-ranking.

I see.

Seems like she was referring to those with legitimate criticisms of specific Isreali state actions and not just some weird celebrity air head ranting on social media and using lazy tropes. I don't see the connection tbh. Ye was not making some constructive criticism or lobbying on behalf of Palestinians or something lol. He is barely coherent.

No respect for people selling out their race for attention.
Being conceited that he is, he is obviously saying this to stay relevant in the media

This week alone:
-Wears a "White Lives Matter" shirt.
-Interviews with Tucker Calrson
-Says hes a big fan of Bunker Boy
-Openly calls Lizzo unhealthy and fat
-Blames "media" for most of the so called "problems"

On White Lives Matter

On Bunker Boy

On Lizzo

I disagree with him on most things, however...

Media is responsible for a whole lot of chaos and misinformation/bullshit/playing off peoples fears.

Lizzo is fat and unhealthy.

Nothing outrageously wrong with doing interviews with Tuckers non smiling, pessimistic ass.

Ye cannot be fully "canceled" btw. People are too magnetized by him.

The thing is simply saying "they're a powerful group of people" is anti-semitic. Supposedly they're no different than Somalians, Philipinos or Lithuanians lool <WhatItIs>

The balls on these "moral, guiltless" companies cancelling anyone over offensive speech while they pay third-worlders $1 an hour to make their fucking products. Fuck these people and anyone supporting this cancel culture shit.
They only want to control the animals relax bro.

Banks are basic services and businesses are supposed to be politically neutral entities. If they can do this to millionaires and billionaires, you and me have no chance. Every case of cancel culture is another win for the bad guys, but by all means, keep clapping for the birth of the social credit dystopian hellhole.

Who the hell do you think runs the banks?

I disagree. Saying "there are powerful people that are Jewish" is not anti-semitic at all. Its fact.
Anti-semitism would be saying "All Jewish people are powerful and part of a grand scheme to control everything." or "Jewish people are powerful and will ruin your life if you cross them."

The main difference is the generalization. Its not all Jews. They are not one person. Once anti-semites start to think of them as one interconnected being labeled "the Jews" its not a huge leap to start attributing power shifts to this general entity. From there calls of violence usually pop up and then some Jewish grandma gets beat down for no reason.

Its no different than saying all black people have an agenda. Its the generalization that causes most problems.

You up for cancelling these moral, guiltless companies over their poor practice?

Why do you guys try these lame gotchas? Cancel culture is bad for everyone and it has to stop.

It's not real.

'Cancel culture' is a buzz term invented recently.

'Boycott' is a term based on the name of a fella that got ostracised in the 19th century. Mr Boycott.

'Girlcott' is a term that was created in 1968.

People have been boycotting/cancelling/girlcotting people for political and business reasons for literally hundreds of years.
