Predicting it now: Ferg will break the UFC record for most consecutive losses

I see him being released soon unless he pulls off a win. Dana and the UFC will try to get him to retire under their banner. Tony will say "fuck you, give me a fight" cause he's out of his mind. And they're going to be forced to release him due to being obligated to offer him a fight while under contract, because they know the end result will be bad if the damage keeps piling on an already unstable individual and they just let it very obviously happen on their watch.

He's gonna win

iu

I'm not even a fan. I just feel like he's gonna show up.

After his first 2 losses to Gaethje and Oliveira I think he should have been given a bigger downgrade in opponent but instead they used him as a stepping stone for 2 other top guys (Dariush & Chandler).

Dariush seemed like a reasonable matchup at the time; a grappling specialist with a plodding striking style prone to having wars. We quickly learned that he turned a corner and Tony had lost a step. Really, Oliveira seemed like a reasonable tune up at the time; a promotional vet who had his ups and downs and who had compiled a nice streak against lower level competition. Obviously, he had turned a major corner.

The Chandler matchup was just mean.

If you don't count the draw in the middle of the streak sam alvey had a fat 8 fight losing streak. Winless in 9 fights has to be the record.

Sam Alvey went 9 straight fights without a win, but he does have one draw in that streak so it really just depends how you say it.

8 losses with a draw in the middle is almost as impressive as 7 straight losses.

By my count Tony would need to drop 2 more to catch BJ at 7.

7 straight loss club: BJ Penn

6 straight loss club:

Hector Lombard
Baroni
Elvis Sinosec*

*had fights outside of UFC in between

Longest winless streaks:

Sam Alvey 9 0-8-1
Cowboy 7 0-6-1nc

Dishonorable Mention:

Tito Ortiz
1 win in last 10 UFC fights 1-8-1

BJ Penn
1 win in last 11 UFC fights 1-9-1

Don't you guys forget, before Penn's 7 losses in a row, he had a majority draw against Jon Fitch...
So, he's winless in 8 fights.

...and honestly BJ is lucky that only one judge gave Fitch the fight and the other 2 called it a draw, because the referee could have stopped that one several times in the last round when Fitch was mauling him.

Another dishonorable mention is Anderson Silva, who basically went winless in his last 9 UFC/MMA bouts.
His win over Nick Diaz got overturned when he pissed hot for the first time.
And technically he has a decision win over Derek Brunson, but that was a terrible decision. So he's 1-7-1, but had the Brunson decision been fair that would be 0-8-1

Bobby green is a decision machine who spends more time showboating than fighting. I think Tony wrecks him with elbows

remind me…. Wasn’t Tony beating Chandler before he got punted?

idk, Tony’s recent losses have been against top guys. Bobby green is not a top guy. And he’s pretty pillow fisted. I literally have money on cucuy. Only $20 to win $60, but I’m pretty confident in my bet. If Tony loses to dancing pillowfist Bobby green, it’s time to retire. Tony’s never gonna be champ, but at least he can have a cowboy type career ending. I still think Tony beats most guys at 155. He’s just gotta stay out of the top 5.

Geez. Well damn dude.

Not sure who currently holds the record. Is it BJ?

Regardless, Tony is marketable, draws eyes, has publicly stated he has no intention of giving up (If anything he delusionally thinks he hasn't reached his prime yet) and will be featured on UFC main event and prelim cards for a long time to come.
Unless they toss him softballs (which they don't usually do for aging veterans) he's going to continue to fight tough ass dudes, even with his noticeably sharp decline.

The next few years will look ugly for Tony.

If he wins Saturday, I'll gladly eat my words...we'll see.

you re right, sir.

no need to apologies in advance.

i never liked tony to begin with, but still, i dont wanna see him brain hurt throwing imaginary sand at his rivals while being severly hurt no more

Dana needs to cut the poor guy, even if somehow he wins Saturday.

Only 1 way Ferg can win an that is by getting off the psyc meds.
Do you want this man digging in his leg for microchips again? Some psych meds definitely have weird/unwanted side effects, but they need to figure out what works for him and keep his ass on them. The man flipped his truck and got a DUI ON his meds, let that sink in. Off of them, the possibilities are endless.

Yup, the Sexyama treatment.

Chuck Liddell is before my UFC time as I only watched boxing then. But I've seen a lot of stuff retroactively and I get sad Chuck vibes from Tony. I wish him well but hope someone makes him stop.

He's getting cut with a other bad loss
I said yesterday I enjoy seeing Tony getting beat up, but that was mostly in jest

I'm not particularly a fan, but I think he should be denied to fight under medical grounds if he suffers any more beatings

He's taken way too many shots in his career and will go the way of many unfortunate boxers among other combat athletes

All I read on here is crying about fighter pay, but that doesn't bother me. It's the health of the athletes that I'd be much more concerned with. I get It's a double edged sword and many don't retire, because they still need to earn, but guys like Tony would still carry on for free if he wasn't get paid
<36> this whole post is quality. I don't know if it was intentional but its full of gems. Creased me up

Depends on how much Dana is paying Tony per fight & how much Dana loves seeing Tony getting his ass whupped.
With the recent DUI and him Tony kind of being insane anyway,if the guy cant produce good fights theres not much reason to keep him around

Win or lose, Tony's always produced good fights.

That said, something was very off with him against Diaz.
