Man, Jones is not Gane. Francis showed nothing remotely close to having wrestling on par with Jon Jones. Were we watching the same fights against Stipe & Gane, because his wrestling looked good, but far from great.
Jon Jones would keep him at kicking range or clinching range, a la Francis v Gane. And Jon Jones would show you all that there are levels to grappling.
Of course he will, and sure he has a punchers chance, but if he doesn't connect before the first grappling exchange he's fooked. Not that any of this matters, they are never getting in the cage together. Shit, pfl prob won't be able to get frank back in there. Prob just let him focus on boxing and take a huge cut
He also said that Jones didn't want to fight Ngannou, until Ngannou decided he wasn't going to re-sign with the UFC, then all of a sudden Dana was on Jones' side. But Dana said that Francis didn't want that fight
Then get derrick lewis to make him shit his pantsEasy win for Ngannou
Shame though that Jones has got an injury that will take least take a year to recover then another year to train and get into fight shape and then to promote his next fight, he may not be fighting until early 2026
Jones will be washed up by then while Ngannou seems to be getting better
The UFC should strip Jones and give the belt to Ngannou and agree to any demands that Ngannou has
Jones can get a title shot he recovers if he still around
Like Gane Derrick , and Stipe 1...casuallol that easy huh?
You think Ngannou isnt going to be fighting back while this is happening? lol
Hate to say but it’s true
I mean Jones wanted no parts of Francis. Francis is scary strong and 1 punch would have all he needed to sleep Jones.
Francis was a terrible match up for Jones and Jones knew it
Ngannou would have have killed Jon Jones
Jon knew that. That's why he waited for Francis to leave the UFC before going up to HW
While Jon could have won in the wrestling department, Ngannou has proven he knows how to wrestle and he's huge.
I think overall Jon is probably happy he will never have to face Ngannou.
Agreed, Jon was extremely clever with the way he ducked Ngannou.
Jones likes predictability. There is zero predictability at all when you're fighting a fucking mutant like Francis.
And Jones and Dana both know it too.
Jones only chance would've been an ankle pick and pray to his God that he could control Francis on the ground. Ngannou Obliterates Jones on the feet badly. Jones was smart to wait till Francis left. He may have saved his own life.
Jones knew it anyway. That's why he was so silent about a protential bout when Francis was still in UFC.
Easy win for Ngannou

In a boxing ring? What the fuck are we talking about?
After tonight, I don't think Jones would survive 3 rounds with him.
At the end of the day Jones is simply too mentally strong and smart in the cage.Jon finds a way to win everytime he is no fury with sloppy movement
You think fighting Jones pays more than fighting Tyson Fury?Francis was soooo confident he would destroy Jones, like he did Gane.
He turned down the highest pay day ever to fight Jones and QUIT MMA
Coach says Francis Ngannou’s pay would have significantly dropped if he’d lost to Jon Jones
https://www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/fra...st-to-jon-jones-it-wasnt-8-million-per-fight/
You’re comparing one of Francis’s best showings to Jon Jones’s worst. His cardio looks improved and he looked more well rounded in his last MMA bout.First grappling exchange?
Why are you acting like Jones has a 100% takedown rate?
He went 2-9 against Dominic Reyes, 0-1 against Santos, 3 of 8 against Anthony Smith, 1 of 5 against Gus...... but he's going to instantly take a much larger, much stronger Ngannou down? I doubt it.
