I can't imagine what it will take at this point to resolve anything after all that has happened. I was surprised by the certainty of that belief and it forced me to think more about the situation.

Further, I'm a bit disgusted by how difficult it has become to criticize the Israeli government without it being conflated with antisemitism but all in all it's become quite difficult to know what's right.

Agreed on all points. Its a mess and the propaganda definitely doesn't help. Now that Netanyahu has said that more control of Gaza indefinitely makes it appear that things will not settle out for some time.

I don't think anyone knew the specifics of who was being attacked at that point. On the onset it was perceived as an attack on the Israeli Military. Even now the details of that day are still shaky.

Personally, I don't have any issues with Hamas attacking the Israeli Military. I do have a problem with Hamas, and Israel, attacking civilians, or anyone else that targets civilians anywhere on the planet for that matter.
