Pacquiao vs Bradley discussion part 2

Seems like Manny never truly came to finish Bradley because he threw much shorter shots all fight. Both guys didnt look all that good to be honest, Pac never really got his bouncing in and out in while throwing combo's then re-setting in record time to set up another exchange from another angle. I believe Pac may have hurt his ankle when he rolled it after getting caught in the 5th or 6th which actually made him more flat-footed(didnt hear post fight conference).

Bradley tried to make himself more marketable by shaking off Pac's punches early and by baiting Manny towards the ropes and trying to exchange with him. He tried too much early where it seemed like he wasnt himself and eventually he looked pretty gassed.

Not really, most boxing fans by now know Mayweather hand picks his opponents. I lived through Tyson fans, RJJ fans, and now Mayweather fans. Its the same garbage everytime.

RJJ fans resemble Mayweather fans except RJJ was atleast KOing dudes. Everyone was certain he would be a God amongst mere mortals. We all know how that story played out

you dont really talk you know anything. It sounds like a bitter child.

You claim floyd doesnt push himself and claim that rjj fought ruiz as a counter argument. You do realize that floyd just fought an undefeated animal right? get lost lol

So, who did Mayweather unquestionably avoid? Please give me a detailed overview of just one case.

tim's being very classy right now
lots of respect for this ballsy motherfucker

My house mate beat him in poker in one of the philippines' casinos.

He said the guy has a bodyguard to carry his money bag. lots of it.

good way to launder, i suppose.

You either know it by now or are biased against it. To each their own, his downfall is inevitable.

Not sure how this turned into a Floyd thread but as always, I'm going to point out the fact that Manny is the guy who has turned down the Floyd fight everytime its been on the table. Fact.

Well its true. 99% of Floyd fans are not really 'boxing' guys. They are around 18-25 and never saw the hay days of Leonard, Hagler, Ali, or even the Tyson era. No true boxing fan can applaud a guy for ducking, and I'm not just talking about him ducking Manny (a fighter I think he would beat). He ducked many guys in their prime and NEVER pushes the envelope.
I grew up in the Ray Leonard era.

Its hilarious that you call people ignorant when you are unaware of the facts, then you try to site Ray Leonard, as though you watched him in his prime. If you did, you'd be aware that he BLATANTLY ducked and avoided a fight with Marvin Hagler for over a decade, pulling one of the most disrespectful clown jobs in the history of the sport on Hagler in the process.

I wouldn't mind seeing 5... I think most people would love to see it considering the way the last one ended...

Meh, Juan should just retire.

He's going to get outboxed by Alvarado anyway. Alvarado will be Pacs next opponent.

You think Alvarado has any chance of stopping Marquez? I think he might be able to. Or at the very least hurt him badly.

Marquez had a strong chin. If he gets stopped id be surprised.

I'll say it....Alvarado is not that good...jmm stops him...

It's gonna resemble jmm vs Juan Diaz

Meh. Marquez is old. I thought he looked foolish against Bradley and was getting wrecked when Pac dove into his fist.

I won't be the least bit shocked when Alvarado outpoints him in a shitty fight.

Interesting. I'd agree with you if it was 5 years ago, but not with Marquez being this old and the stage he is in.

good fight. it's clear pac is not the same, but having said that, it's hard to look good against a guy like bradley. bradley on the other hand, really disappointed. no respect for so long; got the first pac win, started proving himself with win over provodnikov, and really proved himself against jmm. he looked very good the first couple of rounds of this and i really thought he had turned a corner. confidence was probably the biggest thing, probably built with the wins in his last two fights. but then he went to shit. blame it on gassing, blame it on game plan/showboating, blame it on another injury, it doesn't matter because the counter-argument is that pac put him in that position. bottom line, he couldn't step up when he needed to, to really cement himself in the elite group.

i had pac winning 115-113. 118-110 was way too generous. from what i gathered, pac not the same anymore, but it's hard to look good against a guy like bradley. bradley is great, but not elite, no excuses. 3rd fight, if bradley actually boxes, odds are heavily in his favor. pac loses to mayweather if they fight. if we see pac/jmm 5, pac wins (close), if he fights a little more carefully.

Yea ...could be,..I have just never been to thrilled or impressed by Alvarado. Jmm picked him over prov because it was a lot safer.

Solid argument tbh :icon_lol: You don't sound bitter at all
