He was previously a poorly paid humble wrestler and then when he went full heel, he became one of the biggest needle movers in the UFC. Except he's not oblivious about it at all and he's highly aware of it. He's sucking you into his act.

Listen to him on the Candace Owen interview where he's completely himself to see the real Colby. He comes off way more likeable.

We saw the best version of Colby in that fight, and he gave an incredibly effort, a historic hall-of-fame level effort, but it wasn't enough, and frankly, it wasn't all that close.
