no, i never said anything about exterminating pitbulls not once. and my comments on their owners comes from working in a shelter. obviously not ALL of their owners are bad. There are some great ones. but almost every single person that came in to adopt them had no business owning one. thats not ignorance, that was an observation from a shelter that was overrun with pitbulls. and it pissed me off because so many great pitbulls got put down because we could never find a suitable home for them.

i will never forget the first dog i worked with. his name was diego. he was all scarred up and seemed to be mean as hell. i had a week to work with him though and in that week he underwent an amazing transformation. he passed all of his temperment tests including food and treat aggression, but they still opted to put him down because they didnt trust him. it broke my heart.

and yes, i am aware that little dogs can be very aggressive. jack russell terriers are evil. but their attacks dont quite have the impact that one from a pitbull does. i believe chows bite more than any other dog on average (if i remember correctly), and i was only bit twice at work. both were by chows.

Same exact thing I told you about my cousin's friend that also worked in aspca... similar young angry lookin dudes who's in similar situation with their kids... except they were mostly looking to adopt Labrador retrievers

Because it was actually my grade school teacher that introduced me to her pitbull (she was not 50 though). my first time seeing and socializing with a purebred APBT...

as a child, I had thought pitbulls are stray dogs or any middle sized dogs with short hair because that's what I would hear. and to this day it's still like that... like a news channel will report a dog attack and right away it's a pitbull when really it was a mixed breed...
